I wanted to show you what I did a little while ago. I took a curtain topper, that was in that fabric, I said came from the church member that recently died. Anyway, I used it to make this little apron. I had to babysit, unexpectedly tonight for a few hours. I needed her here to measure, without her mom knowing,as I wanted to make her a Christmas apron, to go with her bacon and eggs. I ripped the top casing open and used it just like it was for her length. I think it came out cute, looks vintage to me, but I still want to make her a Christmas one. Hubby put the snap on after they left. Total cost ? A snap and thread.-lol

Toogie, She is precious. Problem: you are going to have to upscale your "pattern" as she grows. This is too cute for a "one time" apron.

That can be done, didn't have a 'pattern' for this one-lol

That is so sweet. I have a couple of drape or curtain and I may try something like this. You are inspiring!

By inspiring, do you mean you think this is one of those 'out-of-the-box ideas? Isn't the saying, invention was born out of necessity? Glad you like it and good to know I have inspired somebody. Thank you-Toogie

Thank you NancyBT10, I am pretty partial to her. She is my youngest granddaughter and I don't have very many of them.

What's she cooking us? I'm really hungry! She is so happy to spend time with you and help every chance she gets. Adorable.

Bacon, eggs and cookies...remember? She comes in and scans the living room/kitchen for decorations. She is so excited with all of it! She even noticed the decorations on top my kitchen cabinets, from way down her little height.

They are both adorable. I like having those "found" pieces of material to use on projects. I always call it reusing and making do.

I was looking in my acquired stash to make a sample and found this with the ruffle. How quick was that to make and just the right length!

She is waiting to see herself in the camera. I couldn't get the back. Every time I turned her around, before I could get the camera up, she was facing me again-lol-I hope to dig out my christmas fabric I bought last year, after christmas, and embroider something on it. Thanks-T
