It has been a long time since I have made a doily and I had to familiarise with my machine again... This is the FSL doily I have made using the Lace Flower Oval design (six times, in my software) from the Classic Lace collection by Sue Box.

I love the single free-standing lace triangle and have duplicated it many times, in my software, until I filled all the space available in my hoop. This is the result :-)

Over the years I have downloaded many lamp shade designs because I love them but I have never stitched one out because I don't need them. Recently I thought "what if I can use one of these designs to create a doily?" and this is what I have done.

I have made this table mat years ago and thought it wasn't good enough to upload a photo in Cute, but I'm fond of it and when I had it in my hands again a few days ago I decided to upload the photo anyway.
