Beautiful Camo set! I am glad you are back, I have been missing for some time too. Hugs, Suzanna
Toogie how i ADMIRE YOU. What a wonderful job you have done. In my old age I now get tired of working on 1 fabric for any length of time. That is unless like you it's for one of my children, for them I make exceptions. LOL hugs/Lillian
Oh Lillian, I appreciate your comments.
I know we both, and other Cuties too, will make whatever our family ask, out of love for them even if we'd rather make something else.
Thanks again-Toogie
You did a very nice job on this set, now find some duck decoys and you're all set, What are you making now this is done ?
You have done a great job, Toogie! Congratulations!
Hugs, Lidia
Oh my goodness Toogie---what a grand baby room this is going to be. I drooled at each picture. I've never made anything like this stuff before--probably won't attempt to either. I'd never heard of Max5 Camo but like the looks of this real good. Love your quilting on the blanket and love that curtain shade also.
Patti, I added the link to Nora's set I made her 3 years ago and Gus uses now too. I never made her a curtain, as she was in her moms room the first year and they already had taupe drapes.
Today my son and grandson went to the lumber yard to get supplies, for my son to make a wardrobe cabinet, for the baby. They worked on it all day but I know it is a slow process. Not only the building of it takes time, but waiting for things to dry, after its made, takes time.
When Mason was born 12 years ago, my son made my daughter a chest of drawers for him. My son did a really good job and Mason now uses it in his walk in closet. He also made his wife a glassed in curio cabinet. Just draws out what he wants and makes it.
What a wonderful job you have done on all of these baby items, Toogie...I am sure they will be appreciated.
Caleb appreciates any and every thing and I believe his wife does too. He told me they wouldn't have been able to get all this if not for me, so made me happy I could help them. I'm the only grand mother Caleb has and he's the firstborn grandchild we have. He's very proud he is independent and manages well. I had a hard time convincing him to let me pay half of this. I knew he figured for it but I told him I would buy something anyway. Since this is what they wanted, it would make it easy for me, if he let me help with the cost and especially since I can't shop like I used to. He finally accepted.
This set is magnificent Toogie, a fabulous collection and you should be very proud of your achievements. Love Chris
Thanks Chris, I used the same patterns, from Nora's set, I made 3 years ago. Nothing was really hard except handling that much fabric! I think we had 9 yards of each color.
Toogie, what a wonderful set you have made, interesting fabric, no not my favourite choice either. But today they want things different, each to their own I guess. May be they can brighten the room with other decorations. Sandra.
Grand daughter in law said they are going to look for decor for walls, the first day they are both off together. I hope they add color!!!
Wonderful job. You can use the extra to make a diaper stacker. They are pretty easy if I remember correctly.
I remember making one that hung from a clothes hanger for Marsha's oldest. I still had the pattern and showed it to Taylor, but she wanted this one in photo 5- the diapers and box wipes fit in large opening and lotions, diaper rash oinment, all fit in pockets on front and sides. I know it hard to 'see' pockets in this Camo, but I assure you, they're there-lol
Oh, that's a great alternative, I couldn't see the details it being camo and all. :)
Being from the North woods, understand the camo. Most of the things I make family is camo. These are done very nice and I'm sure will be deeply appreciated.
This is what they wanted but I tried to pipe it in hunters orange, to add a little color, but couldn't talk them into it.
I thought so too, but the men here say the orange is usually for 'deer' not 'duck'...whatever....I say I don't think the baby will know and he still needs a 'pop' of color!-lol
Very nice work! I hope they don't dress the baby in camo. They will never find him. lol Hugs, Gail
Wow, you really are a great seamstress. This is a wonderful set.
