Anitapatch is always giving us very good links to projects and ideas. Thank you anitapatch. A few days ago she gave us a link to the Janome site. While browsing there, I found this Right Turn Bag, by Anna Marie Horner. I just had to try it. The one I made (in Projects) is way too large for me. I made it for my grandsons wife, with a few modifications. Taylor wanted a zipper closure and I wasn't sure how it would drape, because Anna put a snap closure. I also wasn't sure how I would attach a one strap. Here are the links to how I inserted the zipper, (someone was asking about it in a cosmetic post in Projects), although I know us older Cuties have this. The second link is to a video and free PDF file for the bag. I also made this bag about 22 wide x 20 high and it still is large, even with boxing the 4 inch bottom. I put the strap in different because of the zip.I also added inside pockets and a swivel hook inside side seam, for her to hang her keys. I put an outside zip pocket on the back for easy reach for cell phone. You have free range with fabrics and decorative stitching so give it a try, Cuties. I am going to make me a smaller version now.Hope you all have a good day today-Toogie

You're welcome. I just made a small bag in Projects and I boxed the corners so it would sit up.

Well if she likes a huge bag, this is the one, although you could reduce the size. She could carry swim items, towel and all, in here.

Yes, she does. Trouble is, when she gives us a new site, I get absorbed looking and before I know it, my time to sew is gone!-lol

It can't get much easier and the result is rewarding. I just don't need a bag that big, personally. I am making me one now, smaller.

Right, and the look can change with the fabrics used. Would be good for those leftover jelly roll pieces.
