9536I have seen videos for hats that used the same method for the crown as she used for the bottom of the bag, and used it a few times for those. It's quick and easy.
What I did not like in her video was that she added the drawstring casing a strict 2" from the top of the bag so the little cars from the fabric showed just a bit underneath the casing. I would have moved it till they matched.

I didn't to my casing the way she did, I just stitched two rows around and left an opening in the side seams. Less bulk and easier to do.
