I wonder if the bobbin has manage to get itself undone ? Some times when the bobbin is really full, it doesn't stay threaded through the notch in the bobbin case causing a mess similar .
I have a Diamond & after 4yrs I still get into trouble with it because my brain & fingers don't want to do the same thing.Go the press the button to lift the presser foot & end up pressing the start button which is above slightly to the right.
When doing letters I found in was better to turn off the automatic cutter because of the mess created underneath.
nope fixed it !!The machine was on quilting Q anfd it thought it was quilting i guess .It sews well now hugs
Wow! how many machines do you have now? Where do you put them all? I love the ones I have so much that I can not trade them in at a fraction of cost , so I keep them. Is this what you are doing? Take these stitch out to the dealer and see what they say. I think you need an adjustment. Kay
oh i have quit a few maybe 10 or more .I have a very large sewing area .I think i showed cute once maybe???
My daughters new Babylock looks like that too! We turned to cuter of and only turn it on for lettering.
I have the ruby and after questioning them about the messy back when I was doing logos was told that it was not advisible to use the auto cutter when doing small lettering, which of course peeved me a little as that was one of the reasons I bought the machine! I certainly do not use auto cut as I do not want the back of my work looking messy.
That's about what it always looks like. I turn my cutter off on the Diamond. I have also sewn on a Brother with a cutter (at a sewing conference) & it, too, looked messy. We think that's just great to have that cutter...not! IF it's something that will be completely inside a project, never be able to see it, I will use the cutter. BUT sometimes the cut thread tail will be picked up & pulled to the front & you have to get that off.
My Topaz 30 has the auto-cut feature and I switch it off every time.
Congratulations on your new machine!
Hugs, Lidia
Yes I agree it looks a mess alright. It looks more like a tension problem than anything else. By the way I also have my auto thread cutter turned off. Hope you get it sorted out. Hugs Shirley
I have a Ruby and never use the auto-cut feature unless I know a lining will cover it. Ill designed embroidery files with too many jumps give an ugly back.
The hearts border does not have jumps, so the back should look fine. I think it's a tension problem.
I do not use the auto cutter either unless it will be covered up. I leaves short tails that get caught up in the next sewing section.
I don't have a Ruby but have had 3 different Husqvarna Vikings with the automatic thread cutter and to me it always seems like a mess on the back like you first 2. I turn that feature off most of the time and trim them off myself. the good part of it is that it does make a knot so your stitches don't come undone and that is nice when doing letters. I agree witht he others that on the big heart it does look like the tension is off because usually the backs look almost as good as the front.
Carolyn, you should see some bobbin white on the edges of your colored thread and I am not seeing any bobbin thread.........I think I would check the bobbin thread tension, too.......congrats on the new baby!!
It does look like the tension is way off. Could be top or bottom. I also in looking at the black one, think you might need a new needle. If this is a new machine, you might check to see if you've threaded it correctly. Sometimes I thread my machine wrong and I've had it for 14 years.
looks like the tension is off on the top or bottom .. probably needs a tuneup..
Oh wow...I don't have your machine, but this certainly does not look right to me...hopefully another Cutie will come along that has your machine and give you some tips on what might be causing this problem...looks like a tension issue to me...
I totally agree with you! I have thread cutting on my duetta and yes it does make a mess, but something still is amiss.
