I have a few ITH tissue case designs but hate the satin stitch opening. Decided to try making my own with some scraps and batting. The lining makes it's own bound edge. Pleased with the results

It looks great. I agree the bound edge looks neater and is probably going to last better than the satin stitch.

Looks good - I've made them like this. You can trap lace between the lining and the main fabric to give a fancy edge, but I really like the simple bound look.
