Carolyn I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you were getting on. Glad to hear of your great success
Bet they all had a great day. Well Done. I know who to call when I am in the Nursing Home.
It must feel good, isn't great those people enjoy your presence with the magical machine. I have such a day in a few weeks, in an elderly care home. And I agree it's always so warm in there.... What a difference for you when you came outside in the snow. Take care , be careful in the snow. Hugs Gerry
So glad everything went well, the residents would have been very excited to see your machine and hear you talk about its magical powers.. Always new you were an angel in disguise. Marian.. be extra careful driving with the snow..
He said it looks more like me ???lol
yes God has angel all over this old world and you never know when you will meet one hugs
It is so great you are able to do this bit of service for the residents at this nursing home. I worked at a few different centers through high school and college and saw how desperately the residents just wanted visitors. So often groups would start visiting just after Thanksgiving and through Christmas then there would be very few visitors for several months and you could see just how much they missed having a visit.
Thank you so much for putting smiles on their faces in another month besides December. A huge cyber hug for all you do!
Looks as if you did spread a whole lot of joy. Thanks for sharing those pictures.
Bless your heart Carolyn! You sure put a smile on their faces. Love,Yoriko
Great Job Carolyn!! I am sure fun was had by all.:-)
I have enjoyed everyone of these pictures. The fella by the toilet paper bet that just fascinated him. The joy in these faces including yours is priceless. I do hope you have a journal or at least a special pictures book. Hope you have roads good for Friday and get to enjoy another love filled day. Best gift there is .... is love and girl you got it.
You really are the most amazing lady. Thank you Carolyn for being you.
Carolyn, I pray that you are doubly blessed as richly as you bless others.
You are certainly a jewel for sharing with those less fortunate.
May God continue to bless you as you bless others Carolyn. How wonderful of you to do this for these lovely older folk. I'm with Kay, I hate visiting Nursing Homes, always end up crying. I sing at our local one during the Christmas season and it moves me to tears. What a lovely assortment of goodies too. I bet Donnie and Frank were very proud of you, as we all are. Love Chris
Good for you, Carolyn - well done! I use to work in the office at a nursing home (one of my first jobs). The residents were usually so sweet - just wanting some attention and a smile - thank you!!
yes thats it.There is one lady i just love and i can't even tell you her name cause its one we never heard any ways i call her my pretty lady and always tell her how beautiful she is and she is.:):)Gotta make her a towel with that on it!!!
So glad you were the belle of the ball. The people in nursing homes are just like everyone else and desperate for normalcy as well as companion, a kind word or just a hug. I'm so happy you went and gave them some thing else to thing! Looks like a nice selection and lots of fun. Hugs and ****for you, my friend.
Thanks i am now sewing 4 more towels with names on it that i never had time to do today lol .I will take them on Friday when i go in again thanks
Oh Carolyn, did you ever put on a show . I am so proud of you. Nursing homes are so depressing to me and I am usually crying when I leave. So many of the lady patients love doll babies. Maybe you could make a stiffed animal or baby. Kay
Very kind of you to take time for the elderly. Drive safe in the snow!
We all knew you would have more fun than they did. It was kind of you to share your time and talents.
Bev
I think you may be invited back!
How sweet, you made their day, bless you for sharing your pretties and talent with these wonderful people. You are so generous for doing that!
Well God is good to me so i am just doing his word .Give unto others as i would have them give to me :):)Right???
