Do you know this way to put top, batting and back together for quilting?

Like it, you can quikly pin together, its safe for your fingers and you can quikly remove during quilting. I use long quilting pins and the grey things (dont know a name) are coming from property market. It comes in a long roll and you have to cut it, but it is a real bargain. I have seen such things colorful specially for quilting for much more money.

Thanks for sharing this great idea; love your quilt, too .Looks like you have been enjoying making this one and I can't pick a single piece out of alignment in your pictures. I always wanted to make one but been too afraid of wrecking the poor thing when it comes to putting all the bits together.

These are similar to silicone ear plugs. Probably cheaper. I think the real ones are called Pinmoors.

Thanks elemausi. Such a clever idea. I'm always sticking myself with pinned garments that need to be tried on for fitting. I think I recognized the product and went to the garage to check it out. We used it to fill in around some new windows before caulking. I've taken a picture to help others find it in hardware/home improvement stores. It comes in multiple sizes. This is 3/8 inch diameter.

Excellent idea! Is it foam? or is it more rubber?

It is more foam. Buyed it where you get isolating things for buildings.

Ah,I'll have to try this, I use the curved safety pins, and they do take a while to get in and out. Though they are better than straight safety pins, and I don't stab myself, this looks quicker. And the ones they make specifically are quite expensive in my opinion.

Ja das ist aus dem Baumarkt und kommt eigentlich in Fugen beim Mauern, ich glaube wenn man Fenster einsetzt oder so.

The grey stuff looks a little like the rubber seal used in fly screens, a great idea as you say the coloured ones targeted for quilting can cost a pretty penny. thanks for sharing..Marian
