Just had to vent....I feel so lost without my machine...it's been in the shop for about 2 weeks and I heard today that the embroidery unit needs parts, which will take about 1 1/2 weeks more and apparently not sure which is the faulty part...I am so upset, I just pray he will be able to find out the problem...being an older machine, the unit is no longer being manufactured, just the parts...please keep your fingers crossed for me that it will be something fixable...thanks for listening! :(

Wonder if it's a Singer Futura. Have a friend who would cry with you if it is. She finally put it in the closet and forget about it. Bought another one. Understand your problems.

Good Luck on getting the repairs to your machine sooner rather than later. I had posted earlier about asking for ideas for those like yourself who are in similar positions

Well, this is the time now to get out your knitting or beads or fabric to cut out a new quilt. Maybe even rearrange your sewing area or do the hand work on a project you just need to finish. Or, you could have a garage sale and get enough $$$ to put a down payment on a brand new machine!!! Good luck!

I think your machine will be OK. It is the old machines that they do not support anymore and the only parts around is all that is available. good thing they still are making the parts.

He said they told him at Babylock that they never got enough requests, so they don't make it anymore...but they do sell the parts..but, only if he knew exactly which part it is....I can only pray he finds out soon.

You have my sympathy. I always hate bringing my machines in for maintenance or repairs. It leaves a huge empty space in their room when they are gone.

I feel your pain as my machine is also waiting for parts. I am just hoping that I will have it back in time to make a few more Christmas presents. Good luck with your machine

Spend your time designing what is next, I keep a folder labeled "Ready to Machine" and add to it regularly. When I have time , I will go through that file and select what is next to be embroidered. If I leave the design in it's original folder , I tend to forget about it. Old age is creeping in!!! Kay

It's alright to vent, gets the cranky out and lets the creative energy flow. We all do at one time or another. If it's any consolation your little machine is probably setting on the repair bench crying and scared because it's not home with you. Will do as you ask hope he fixes it quickly. :-)

I know it's hard when you want to sew. Maybe you can get your next few projects together so that when your machine comes back, you can sew and sew and sew.

I did that one time and had a nice little stack, with instructions pinned to fabrics. Also opened a bunch of zip files, although there are always more to undo. Then I straightened and arranged my fat quarters "alphabetically" by color - you know what I mean - like a color wheel. Then I grouped some of the fat quarters into coordinating pairs for kids' appliques. I thought that machine never would get fixed. Also, checked to see what thread colors I needed and sharpened my scissors. My DH didn't even understand why I was in a foul mood, but I bet you do.

I feel for you, we are very lucky to have the lady who takes care of our machines, she is wonderful and tries her best. I know parts are hard to get these days I have 2 older phaff sewing machines and have no dealer in this area to fix them. I hope he can find your problem and help you ASAP. Good Luck! Sandy
