I am glad to hear this news about the cataract surgery. My eye dr told me I need to do it, I am scared beyond scared to have something messing by my eyes. I also told him I wasn't old enough yet, my way of avoidance... LOLOLOL.

Oh Cathy - this is wonderful. Did you get the standard lenses or one of the new special lenses? My DH just went through it - all the eye drops were something to get through!!! Hugs, Laura*

Brilliant news Cathy, those cataract operations are so successful these days. I've only been wearing glasses for 12 years, so maybe a few more years before I have it done. Love and blessings Chris

Good for you. Seeing the world through a new pair of eyes has to be amazing. Like Leaha said. I would probably look for my glasses first thing in the morning.

It is the most wonderful operation. So many of our friends have had it done with great success. Enjoy your 'clear' sewing. Sarah

I know how you feel! I had both of mine done and when I went back for my check-up I told my dr,I feel like I have been through the car wash and cleaned my windshield. Everything looks so bright and clear. He laughed and said he had never had anyone express it like that before...Toogie

ps. I had been wearing bifocals and now just wear reading glasses to sew/emb to do close up things.

Yes, isn't it great when old eyes, can be made new again? Wish you much joy of your new found freedom...what's funny is how often you will go looking for your glasses even though you don't need them! :-P
