I am doing the happy dance with intermittent tears of relief. I did not know if I would stitch again. The frustration level in my heart was so high. Here is what happened. I sent my machine for repair a year ago, and over the past year, it had been back 5 times! The last time I even sent a note, Please replace the parts! It broke 2 days after bringing it home. I called the corporate office, they picked it up and I was presented with an invoice of $362.00. Wow! I informed the repair place because I could not find my repair receipts. Spoke to the manager and finally the word got to the owner to take care of this. He did! Anyways, I just heard that my machine is on its way home! Yeah! I stood up for myself and I did not back down. I still have similar problem with another machine and I will give them 1 more chance to make it right. So now you know, what my stress has been, and why I have not been around as much. I hope everyone has a great day! I think I will!

Good on you for being so persistent. I'd have gotten annoyed with them and tried somewhere else much sooner I think! Last week I lost the presser foot that I use for my work on the Juki quilting machine. Went to the shop where I bought it and get it serviced and they gave me a new foot for free. There are some good people around.

Can I ask What machine make and model gave you so many problems? And is the 2nd one the same brand?

They are both brothers, the first has lots of stitches on it, the second I bought a used lemon. I hope they get it working right.

Good for you!!!! I had a similar problem with my Janome 11000SE...It was sent to Janome three times in four months! Janome sent me a new machine and that one also had to go back to them twice in the next three months!!! So, they sent me another new machine...and that one also had to be sent back to them...all three new machines had the same problem...I don't think they knew how to fix it...I believe it was a software problem and they didn't want to acknowledge they had a problem...my girlfriend also bought the same machine when I bought mine...hers also had the same exact problem...bottom line...after three new replacement machines and ten months of aggravation I returned the machine to my dealer for a complete refund...The big silver lining in that cloud...I found the Baby Lock Ellisimo and bought it...if I had not had so many problems with the Janome 11000SE....I would never have been able to buy the Ellisimo...and it is the most fantastic machine ever...I would buy it again!!!! Wishing you good luck with the second machine my friend!

I am on my 3rd Babylock, kept going up 'till I got the Ellegante 2 Started with a Bernina 9 yrs. ago. I would not take anything for the Babylock or my dealer.. first babylock was an Ellisimo/Lillian

I know you will be happy it's back, but personally I think they should have given you a new machine. I know it's stressful when my machine is gone for a day it's like I have lost one of my children. I hope now for you that everything will be okay,/Lillian

Oh I am not done with them yet! I will let you know! It is time they understand the commitment we have with our machines and what their commitment is to the customer!

Well done Chris, if it isn't right keep on sending it back until if is fixed permanently. I hope you didn't have to keep on paying everytime it was being repaired!! Having a good service technician is paramount isn't it? My sewing machine repair man is Maarten at Thorpe's Sewing Machines in Hunter Street, Newcastle. I've been using him ever since I've been here and he is worth his weight in gold.

Good on you and as the cartoon says "Never ever give up!" Love Chris

I've got one like that too Chris. He will at times tell me how to fix it myself if it's possible and I really like that because it 100 miles round trip to go to him. The good thing is usually he'll tell me "go do some shopping and I'll have it ready for you when you get back" that's music to my ears./Lillian

Don't know where you live but to bad you don't know my repair place as they are so good. I took my machine in and he looked at it and fixed it for free and show me how to do it myself. Had problems with my machines screen (computer sewing/emb. machine), (Screen had a mind of it own) took it in for a reg. check up also at the same time upgraded and now have had no problems with the screen. Hope you have no more problems. Happy Stitching
