Might this be the reason why I don't post so often in projects? Ha, ha

Sorry Yoriko

Use this as a life lesson: It is OK to be different! Call your project "It's OK to be different!

I see you decided to fix it. Oh well, you can still call it that, as you said previously 3 corners were wrong!

And you have much more guts than I - I am still too scared to stitch lace designs...

I "might" remove the one corner to make all corners the same....or I might just leave it alone, no one will notice when it's in use.

But that is a special corner!! It was made that way for a reason, you loved it enough to give it a special place. You only place it one way so that the special corner means something. Hugs.

Ha, ha. Nice try. The funny part is that actually according to my plan 3 corners are wrong.

Thank you for your caring comment. I am not a perfectionist, but this was a bit too much. Ha, ha

I had to look twice to notice. If that square bothers you, it would be better to take it out and replace it with the right one. If you don't do it, you may regret it for many years. You could use the "wrong" one as a coaster or a doily. By the way, I like it, you have done a lot of work.
Hugs, Lidia

You are absolutely right. There some mistakes I can live with but this one was just too noticeable. Fix is currently drying.

You can always say you are adapting the Amish policy to make a deliberate mistake in their quilts, because only God is perfect. ;)

That's what I always say!!

crafter2243 by crafter2243 19 May 2014

Thanks Jerilyn, I doubt they would make such a noticeable mistake. It is just too obvious which is precisely what makes me wonder where my mind went. .

"ALL" of my quilts are Amish! :)

Just block it again, it will be fine. See I didn;t notice that... I just notice a little stretch. I say put a vase on it, or a 3D dragonfly! see jan's last pic of stuff!

crafter2243 by crafter2243 19 May 2014

I think the stretch happened because the three blocks have no business being there. Till I fix it I will put a vase on the odd one. I am afraid in the state of mind I am in right now I might create a 4D dragonfly.

Carole you are funny. Even white bobbin thread would have not helped in this case.

Sewing drowsy -- like driving drowsy causes strange things to happen. On a bright note -- they do all have the X in the middle. ;)
I think you may be enjoying your new sewing table a bit too much.
I do look forward to see what you decide to do with it. I am thankful I am not the only one that makes noticeable errors. Thanks for sharing this.
Hugs!!

I will fix it and post in projects. I must have been asleep not to notice it when I sewed the pieces together.

Well, you could add more to it, and make it random. I see the difference but it doesn't like bad, it adds interest.

A beauty, Love the colour and the patterns...If you can change it without destoying all your hard work then I would make another corner, I not just leave the corner to the back and tell onyone who notices that's the way it's supposed to be..

crafter2243 by crafter2243 edited 19 May 2014

That was my first thought too, but I think I will always know so I will fix it. Not too difficult, since the squares are individually done and then sewn together.

by gerryvb 19 May 2014

Well it's lovely, and just make another corner like the other 3 and change it with the one that's in the upper right.( Chris had the same suggestion I see) By the way the color is lovely too !! With love, Gerry

Hi Angie, well, I'm slightly anal and it would bother me, so I'd unpick one corner and do another one to match the rest. It's still a gorgeous piece of work and as the others have said once things are on there, you won't notice it. Love Chris

Oh, I see, you used another design for the corners! :)

crafter2243 by crafter2243 19 May 2014

I was not paying any attention and messed up. The three odd ones were a mistake. I am not perfect.

It is still very beautiful, and as toogie said you will not notice with a few things on it.

I would leave it,I hardly noticed,it took me awhile. Is it a blanket or table doily? If it's for the table,by the time things are on it, no one will see all 4 corners at the same time. It's too pretty to start ripping and maybe mess it up.Post it in Projects.I like it.
