All's fine today in the nest. Saw baby pick up something to eat all by himself...getting to be a big boy. If he every grows into those feet, he'll be huge!! No wonder he keeps falling over! Such big feet on a baby!
Wow howed i miss this it is so nice to see nature at its best. Thanks foe showing us Hugs Carolyn
There are 5 Eagle cams in the US, also at least one in Canada (Vancouver) Here's the National Geographic link for all five of the US nests.
Muffy :)
I found Connecticut and Florida. I wouldn't get anything done if I look at more, So isn't this little guy adorable?
Here is an adorable screenshot from this morning. the eaglet is 3 weeks old.
I think this picture is special because in all my watching, this was the first and only time I could see his feet, and while he was sleeping, I could see him breathe.
Mama bird stood watch all night. baby slept lone. She is wary to sleep now and baby wants nothing to do with it. That intruder the other day must have shaken her to the core to stay up all night.
I went looking for the footage of the intruder and I found one from last year. I also found a nest in Connecticut and Florida.
thank you, love watching this, what happened to the other egg? xx
B3 has certainly grown since I started watching. :) Becky in Texas
Love watching the mom tending the baby. He looks sooo fragile.
Did you see the eaglet is starting to get flight feathers! Teeny Tiny ones, but those are Big Eagle feathers!
The eagles are having a restless night tonight. The wind is still rocking their world.
Just checked & mama & baby in the nest asleep. Checked the approach cam earlier today & that pine tree was really rocking!! This was after the sub eagle though he'd come in & grab that baby!! Those parents are good parents!! Daddy eagle drove the intruder off...while mama spread her wings over the baby & screech for daddy!! Loving this eagle cam.
there's a vidio up on YouTube now of the intruder. A link under the live cam shot to click on.
Thank goodness the wind stopped. The eagles will leave this place in about 4 - 6 weeks. The eaglet has grown so much in just over 2 weeks. Best screensaver ever!
I LOVE this Christine, and sent it to my parents who are birders and they watch it all the time too! Thanks for sharing it, I probably would have never known it was there.
Glad to see other Cuties that love the eagles. I turn it on for my class to see.
