Beautiful wedding photos, everyone looks amazing, it looks like the best place to be! Lots of fun and beautiful music! Oh to be young again!!!
What a brilliant, pretty wedding setting. That must have been the best fun night ever. I just love the decorations but the bride on the white horse beats all.
AlmaG.
Alma,I was told she is a pro barrel racer, but we missed this part as the band set up at a later time.It was the perfect place for this kind of wedding.-Toogie
Adding a few more photos, someone sent my daughter.I wanted to see how the bride came in-the only one I know is the second one from the right and I loved her bling-bling cowboy boots!
Wow! That looks like the kind of wedding our family would have had. I wish there was a lick of music in our group, no one plays anything!! I have 2 of 3 girls that can't even keep a beat to save their lives... Loved the decor. I bet if my brother saw those boutineers, we would have made them for his wedding!
Welcome to Cute, beedragonlady! I too loved the shotgun shells...I am glad you found Community and hope you can get around the site.Moderators have posted info about navagation.Anything you need help with, just ask. Some Cutie, that's who we are you know, will be more than willing to help,asap.-Toogie
Lovely set up and wish I could hear the band. I am fan of all types music. If that is bluegrass turn up the volume lol. A five string banjo and fiddle tune is the best to me anyways.
No bluegrass that night, but she plays it all,and all by ear.I love the fiddle. There are at least 3 that are my favorite for her to play to me.What a Friend we have in Jesus, a Mardi Grass tune and I can't ever remember the name but it was played on Legends of the Fall movie. It is so relaxing, almost a homesick tune, but I love it.She could play for me all day.
Thanks for sharing, Toogie. I really like the rustic, outdoorsy look.
now THAT looks like a party :) How fun everything looks!!! Thanks for sharing pics of your beautiful family! Flowers!!
Thank you only the band is family, not the wedding party. There were people there that we knew and made us welcome.
What a great way to entertain & your daughter is lovely to share her talent is such a gift! ~Hugs~
How wonderful that your family entertains. I love Bluegrass. My DH used to be in Bluegrass band. I love to hear the fiddle played, too. I really like all kinds of music. I must admit that my favorite is still 70's rock and roll, though.
Your photos are wonderful with the decorations that are perfectly appropriate for the setting. I'm especially loving the "shotgun shell" boutonniere.
I have to join in with the toe tappin blue grass music as well as give me all kinds of and mostly 70's rock and roll.
Jrob, what instruments does your husband play? So many of her uncles(and she has a lot) always said they tried but the fiddle is a hard instrument to play. She just picked it up naturally, but still says she would like to take 'formal' lessons.-I loved the shotgun shell too.A young guy came and sat by me,so I introduced myself and ask him if I could take a photo of it.The girls wore a taupe colored, with bing/sequins scattered. They were knee length and slim fiiting, with their cowboy boots. One b-maids boots were the exact color of the dress with a lot of bling stitching.
H-mom, this band wasn't her bluegrass group. These played a mixture, more of the oldies, like 'ole'time rock and roll', C&W, swamp pop and I like the Keith Whittley/LorrieMogan song my daughter and BIL sing together,When each tear you cry, becomes a rose.
He plays, guitar, dobro, a bit of banjo. He tried the fiddle and I told him to pick, me or the fiddle, one of us was going. It sounds like 2 possums fighting in a croaker sack when you are learning. (See, I know country, too.) ☺
These photos are so nice, looks like a really fun time, it would be nice to hear them. Your daughter is beautiful! Must take after her mom. Does your hubby play or sing too?
Thanks, they do enjoy playing.Unfortunately, hubby doesn't play but he sings well,at home tho, not with the band. They want him to but is too bashful.
Now that is a fun time!. I am so glad you shared this with us. What a talented and fun family you have.
Thank you,Karen. The parents of the bride were so happy with the band. They had only heard of them by 'word of mouth' so to speak, and had never heard them play. When it was over they payed them a bonus, more than the agreed charge,so they must have been pleased.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of your life....it truly is lovely to see your family and doing something they obviously love...all look so
must have been a wonderful great party, and I suppose everybody will keep happy memories of this. Awesome to have such a talented musical family.
Looks like everyone had a great time!
The mother of the bride said, the wedding was for the daughter, but the music was more for her.She and her husband enjoy dancing, but don't care to go to the night clubs. We (the band set up after the 2nd ceremony, they had previously married quietly) so we missed when the bride came there riding a white horse in her white gown. The bride is a professional barrel racer, they said.Someone sent my daughter a photo of her on the horse, today
You certainly have a musical family, what a proud night for you..
You have a beautiful, talented family! Thank you for sharing these photos.
Hugs, Lidia
Gorgeous Toogie and your family are lovely. This is what Amy is having at their wedding next year. She is having burlap (we call it Hessian here in Australia) with Gypsophila, Hydrangeas and ribbons around Mason jars. It's all the rage and quite reasonably priced! Glad you had lots of fun. The picture below is something like what she wants except there will be ribbons wrapped around the jar with some hessian too. Love Chris
I am sure it will be lovely,Chris.I love hydrangeas,my youngest one had them at her wedding, and burlap seems the rage right now.
Toogie, your daughter is beautiful. You must be so proud of her. The venue looks great for a wedding. Hugs Sarah.
Thank you Sarah,I am proud of her.A lot of the family,my husbands side, can play instruments, but only 3 played the fiddle. My father-in-law ,my husbands brother and now our daughter played fiddle, most play guitars, doubros, drums. She plays with her Bluegrass gospel group and they have the mandolyn, banjo and bass fiddle, along with guitar and her fiddle. She also plays with the Contempary Christian group at church. She only plays with this family band, at our family re-unions or weddings.-This place was perfect for the type decorations they used and the weather co-operated nicely, not too cold.
Also wanted to add, my grandfather played fiddle,my mother the guitar and sang, and my aunt could play the spoons!
