Hi one and all, I've been busy finishing off some things for my annual ladies Christmas luncheon for this year. I've done the 8 tea towels with SNOWFLAKES on them as this is the theme for this year.

Then I finished off my 1st casserole cover, but I stuffed up the binding section and instead of being on the outside I've put it on the inside. Easily rectified with the next 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've got to make.

I've also finished my surprise gift for the Newcastle Sewing Guild this Thursday. We were all given 1 metre of white fabric and asked to make something useful to give to another person (like Secret Santa).

So here they are:

1. 8 navy blue (colour is not true!!) tea towels with Snowflakes on them. The designs are from Kara's Kreations - called "Winter in White".

2. Casserole cover from Dixie Doodles - "Cozy Toter" - you have to cut out 6 circles for each cover!!!! Three for the upper (top, batting and lining) and the same for the lower part! I had to do this by hand too as you can't cut out circles with a rotary cutter too easily - well I can't!

3. Blue and white embroidered table topper - I used the self binding baby quilt instructions from the Missouri Quilt company for the backing fabric. It's so easy!

I also did some squares for 2 of my American friends as well. It's been a really wet couple of days and great for sewing! Love Chris

Wow, Chris, you are very early this year! I remember some of your butterfly glass cases were done in July, when all I could think of was summer. I always wonder what your new theme will be, this blue and white and snowflakes is lovely. And I love your handles!

Thanks so much Martine I knew this year would be a bit hectic what with me helping Amy out with baby number 2. Plus my sewing guild, Italian lessons, looking after Mum and babysitting Dana's children too. It just seemed easier for me to get these things done early so I don't have to rush closer to the luncheon. So glad you appreciated my accuracy with my cutting skills!!!! Love Chris

Everything looks lovely Chris. So it seems your colour scheme will be blue this year. It's nice that you have different colour/theme each year. Some have said it's nine months away 'till Christmas but a baby can be made in that time too. So best to get busy...lol

What a laugh. Great way to start the day. These are wonderful, thanks for the info on the designs and the link to the carrier.

Hi Jerri, I found this one to be the easiest. Some had wooden planks in the bottom and all sorts of styles. When I saw this one I thought wow! how easy. It is really except as I said I was in a hurry and just reversed the top layer. It will even more gorgeous with the binding on the outside! Love Chris
