Thank you for showing so clearly how to make a pattern for any shape you fancy.
Well Mops,I think you are smart to figure this out.I would like it to have deeper sides though, but I like the rectangle box. What size is your paper square here?
This one just fitted an A4 piece of paper. But the method of drawing a pattern is the same for any size you like - length and width of the box, the height you just draw the box you want.
hay looking good i need this pattern so you just keep at it my friend my stash is so small***hugs Carolyn
What a difference! It takes a real engineer to figure this out. I think it would be easier to do on a regular sewing machine, not in the hoop. Or, if it were me, just buy a plastic box and cover it with fabric, hee hee hee. Thanks for all your effort, very interesting, at any rate. Hugs, Marji
I had no idea a rectangle box would mean a different way of doing it. You are a smart lady. Thanks.
Will you be making one out of fabric? These are all very handy and in all the fabrics out there and buttons too, it will be a fun project! Thanks for the photos, I would have been perplexed not realizing the complications of a rectangle.
I don't think so. The joy of the square one is the straight sides, I don't like the odd shape you need for a rectangular one.
Brilliant concept I thought that Loralye's project was great. So glad you have tried another version. I see Carolyn has done one too just gone onto Projects and it's at the top at the moment. Love Chris
In Loralye's project the possibility of a rectangle was brought up and I thought that would not be as straightforward as a square, so I just had to try it.
