karenintw asked me, how i quilt in the hoop. May be that it is for others also interesting.

1. I allways use a quilting needle (Schmetz) for quilting in the hoop.
2. I use the same thread in the bobbin as in the needle. (Not allways the same color) For the large blanket in my projects i used cotton, for the tablerunner i used Polyesterembroiderythread.
3. Top, batting and back i put together with pins, no basting, its a lot of work the basting to remove. I also never use a tearaway or other back.
4 Sometimes i embroider the design only on top and batting and add the back after this. I did this by the tablerunner because i did not know, if the embroidery looks good in the back.
5.I hold large, heavy projects to help the hoop to move.
6. Large projekts i quilt additional with stich in the ditch between the blocks.

My english is not good, but i hope this helps.

The videos show quilt as you go, that means, every block will be quiltet seperatly and after quilting you put it together. I am quilting after sewing all together.

Thank you, that information helps a lot. I have had to ask my husband to hold large amounts of fabric for me to run through the machine. I did not think to use a quilting needle, and I am not sure what the difference is, however I will do it. I have been hesitant and now I have no excuses.

These are helpful tips and ver easy to understand. Your English is also very good. I know you do English much much better than I would be able to do your native tongue!

Your English is very good. Thank you for the information. I never though of using quilting needles to quilt in the hoop. Have to try it next time.
Thank you Happy Stitching
