Thank goodness it's off - bet it feels good to be free! Take care of it now!
looks as if it is time so slathering the lotion or cream on your arm. My good friend and "cutie friend'" Linda Flanders referred me to "Eucerin". It comes in a plastic jar and is like body butter , but ever so much better, it also comes in a lotion form, but the cream is better. You can buy at grocery or drug store. No RX required. try it , you will love it. Kay
Carolyn I a so happy for you But be care ful with it for a while we don't want you to have go back to a cast.
Love and hugs Lenamae
About 4 years ago, I fell and broke both bones in my left forearm. It required surgery (a plate on each bone/3 screws per plate). It felt sooo
good to get that cast off my arm. I used a vitamin E oil on my arm and skin, after the two cuts healed. Be very careful with your arm. I got one of those neoprene sleeves to help support my arm. It really helps. I don't wear it as often now, but, when I'm tired I will use it. Take care of that arm.
So happy for you!!!!!! Better listen to the doctor. It will take awhile to get it back like it was. Been there before. Hugs DeVon
Good News Carolyn!!!! Now listen to your Doctor and all the
Cutie Doctors. Take it easy. Did you ask your Doctor if you could use a brace while doing your embroidery? Might help. Happy Stitching
Yeah!!!!! it's off, And you have a free peel. Most people do that on their face though :). Now be good. Behave and listen to the doctors. This is nothing to laugh at.
Wonderful Wonderful.. just use it as you have been with it in the cast, at least most of the time. soso happy for you..take care of it
Impressive before n after pics; now it will be new as a babys b-tt-m,hehehe. Try to mind the doctors instructions...
Woo hoo, Carolyn!!!! Does it itch? Bet your arm is so happy to be out of "prison"!!! Congrats!
Glad it's off, you have received very good advice already, please rest that hand!
Hugs, Lidia
Congratulations on getting the cast off. Keep it well moisturised & give it time to get it's strength back.
So glad your plaster is off Carolyn, what a blessed relief it is, isn't it.
You should be able to buy Curel Original Moisture Lotion where you live and I highly recommend it for its healing, soothing and moisturising qualities. Normally it requires only one application per day of Curel to achieve the same (better) results of other creams that require repeated applications per day. Just don't overdo it now girlfriend. :-) hugs n roses, Meganne
Dear Carolyn, I'm glad the cast is off! Please take care of yourself! Love and hugs, Yoriko
Dear Carolyn, so happy for you that it is finally off - and like everyone else on here says make sure you do as your doctor tells you.
With regard to your flaky skin issue the best moisturiser/oil for this is Bio-Oil. Hope your arm gets stronger every day.
Love and blessings Chris
and he's right : don't overdo. The cast is off but it still needs time to heal and is still weak. ( I know I have several times experienced). So be happy it's off and careful so it keeps off. Enjoy the free arm :)
So glad for you that the cast is off. Now for you is the time to take it easy so no more damage is done to it.. Hugs, Mary
Please try to follow the doctors advice. I know just how difficult it will be but also that it will be worthwhile!
As everyone is saying Carolyn baby steps otherwise you will be out of action again and that would be terrible for you. Also doing happy dance for you. Hugs Sally
Hooray, hooray, hooray. You need lots of cream on that skin. Take it easy Carolyn. Hugs Sarah.
Hi Carolyn, I am so glad you are healing properly. You just are not done yet. Building up the strength in your arm is very important. Do the exercises, and be very careful please. Hugs
I'm sure you don't need another "mama" telling you to take it easy...but I'm going to anyway! :-) Take it easy! I vote for the Vit. 3 oil too. Used it on surgery scars & they practically disappeared! Glad you're "up & running again!"
So happy for you. Ease back in to 90 miles per hour, okay? We want you happy.
Holy cow, I would lather it up with a good lotion for the next few days.
Glad to see it is off, and listen to the Dr. or you will be going through this again and again....
Hugs
Now be a good girl and don't dive in head first take it slow and let it strengthen.......soozie
ITS OFFFFFFFF YAY for you. And your running for the finish line eh?
Carolyn so happy for you but please do TRY to go slow and let the wrist strengthen. Hugs Pauline :)
My 2 feet looked like onions after 6 weeks in a cast----it is truly amazing how much your skin flakes naturally--it will return to normal---and always listen to your doctor--he/she knows what is best for you---God bless you and many prayers for quick healing!!!!!
it is of Happy to see you casting off now you do what the doctor said coconut oils is good to put an you hand take care hugs Maria
Little by little like you have been use good ol lefty as much as you can. While strength builds. Some lotion with Vit E or straight Vit E oil will help moisturize the peel y skin. Great to see it off and I am still praying. Hugs Mary
Happy day for you!!!!!! I'm so glad to hear you got the cast removed. I bet it was quite liberating when they first cut it off. That skin hasn't seen the light of day for a long time. Slather up with a good moisturizing body lotion. It will soon be back to normal, you'll see. Congratulation!
Over Use it? Now that is going to be hard for you. But you are going to have to do as you are told dear.....Pace yourself...
Take it easy and nice to see it off....
So........he left it up to you? Ruh Rho! Did you tell him you were physically and psychologically incapable of being still? I hope you have very good luck with it and it really doesn't need too much rest.
Can I get a face cast? I really could use a deep peel. ;)
So happy for you. Please don't over use. Looks like a nice coating of some cream and plastic wrap might hydrate the dry peeling skin.
I'm glad to see you cast free, Now don't over do,things can wait for awhile before you dive in head first.
Bev
