WELL THE DAY HAS COME AND GONE - my annual Christmas ladies lunch. I'm relaxing now after a wonderful day filled with gorgeous food, great friends and good conversation.

For lunch we had Ham, Chicken and Turkey with beautiful salads. Then for dessert Plum Pudding and Brandy Custard or cream. After beautiful plunger coffee and chocolates everything was put in the dishwasher and all my Silver cutlery and glasses were hand washed by the ladies! I didn't have to do them.

This year my theme was Black and Silver/White and Reindeers were my main item and all of the ladies wore black, silver or white.

My darling Mum had a skin cancer cut out of her nose last Monday and was a bit camera shy, but hammed it up all the same. There were lots of funny pictures of "Where's Wally" etc. but I've chosen the best ones to show you.

Everyone loved all the things I made which consisted of an Apron, Sonia Showalter's angel with their initials, a tea towel with their initials and the napkins and napkin rings. I bought beautiful bon-bons which they all decided were too beautiful to open, so I've got them for my Christmas lunch with our family.

1. Table setting taken Saturday evening.
2. Table setting close up - Reindeers, silver candle holders
3. Mum and I nose to nose!
4. Table before food was placed on it.
5. The food and the Apricot/Ginger Ale Punch!
6. Mum and my priest Wendy hamming it up - not wanting to look at the camera!
7. Wendy, Stasia, Mum, Kathy, Sue and me in front.
8. This is the picture that everyone cracked up with - Mum was hiding behind Wendy's body and only had her hand showing! We were saying "Where's Wally" - I think Wendy nearly had a coughing fit!!
9. This was a picture of the table before the ladies arrived.
10. This was Meg's place setting.

Chris, everything and every body looks so nice. I wish there were more people out in our country area that enjoyed sewing as much as I do.
Have a wonderful Christmas. Hugs, Judy

Thanks so much Judy. It was such a wonderful day even though it rained most of the time. It didn't matter though as we were inside anyway. I hope that you can find more people that like sewing in your area. How about putting up a notice in your local neighbourhood centre. Love and blessings Chris

What a beautiful table setting, as usual! The pictures are all beautiful! Your Mom sure did look as if she was enjoying herself! The pictures speak for themselves! Everyone was enjoying the company and the food and Mom is a beautiful as always! She does not seem to age from one yr to the next! I love the picture of you amd Mom nose to nose! I really miss my Mom. She has been gone 23 yrs.
Yes, I have been sick for some time but have had a few set-backs in the last couple of months. I ease in and ease out most of the time because I spent most of my time in bed or in a chair with my legs elevated. I sure do appreciate your thoughts and prayers. The crippling arthritis has gotten worse, almost with a vengence in the last few months, PLUS my computer crashed a few days ago. My son was pretty sure it was a goner but set his mind to getting it fixed and it is now back running and I did not have to buy another one OR start from scratch compiling all new designs. I do still have a mess because my desk-top looks like scrambled eggs. Alot of my designs are misplaced in other folders along with several companies designs all being in the same flders.. My son restored yet another Computer!!!! I got several serious virus and ended up downloading several trojans from a site that I went to from Cute Members postings. All of this happened the same day. It was about 4 days ago. I do not think I have been to sleep since it happened. 99% of my designs are on my computer only. I bought the Singer XL 1000 as soon as it was put in the stores. It was a very new product. The computer collecting started right after that! I would hate to think about how much money/designs I would have lost if my son had not been able to salvage the computer! That along with being sick has just about taken all of the air out of my sails! I am now trying to get my mess cleaned up and sort out just exactly what to do with all of it! Hugs, Linda

Thanks Linda for your kind words. Mum does look good and I'm taking her back to the Plastic Surgeon tomorrow to get the bandage off. She is looking forward to it with great anticipation. I hope and pray that all of your health issues will soon be better. Love and blessings Chris

Well, I can tell you all that a fabulous time was had by all of us, the camaraderie and laughter was as free flowing as the punch and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I came home exhausted and with a sore tummy from the laughter. What a fabulous bunch of ladies, we had an absolute blast!
Chris is the most elegant hostess and puts everyone at ease with her warmth and openness. The table was a picture that no camera could really capture to full effect and the food was perfection.
I feel so privileged to have (again) been included in this annual luncheon. Chris has been organising these for years, for her friends, and I'm the new kid on the block, though I'm starting to feel like I have known these ladies for years, they are all so warm and friendly.

Thank you Chris, for a truly fabulous day.
And My Heavens! The beautiful gifts you made for each of us.......
beyond words.
I took photo's of each of the ladies with their gorgeous aprons Chris made for each of us. I'll apologise for the poor quality, but the I-phone 5 is not a patch on the Nokia 95, unless lighting conditions are perfect.
Now let's see if I can remember all the names.......
Image 1> Chris of course
2> Minister Wendy
3> Chris' mum Pat on the left and is it Kay?
4> Sue
5> OK, memory fails me here, sorry
6> Chris
7> and yours truly with my very special, absolutely gorgeous full length apron (because I'm a grub, LOL!!)
OOOOOPS! I almost forgot Stacia #8
