Just dropping in to say finally things are settling down for us. After our trip to Myrtle Beach hubby had a problem with his heart again, so far they haven't found anything wrong though and he has something bothering him in his side, I think it's his gallbladder but we have to have yet another doc check him out. We had to stay secret about my brother, he and I haven't been on the best terms lately and he found out he had skin cancer and wrote to my parents in an email how awful it is and no cure and you would think he was dying tomorrow but they got it all by removing one section of skin on his head, I wanted to laugh at him after all I have and still am going through. Then, this past Sun evening my Mom had a mini stroke! My nerves are shot from all this worry. Thankfully Mom is home and has no problems from it but will be on medication so she doesn't have another. She knew she didn't feel well, got weak in the shower and her leg didn't feel right, they went to go eat supper at Wendy's and when they were walking in my Dad noticed she was dragging her left foot so he got her to the hospital right away. I never saw such fear in my Dad, he really had tears and he hates showing weakness, I put my hand on his and said, "I know", he said he was OK. Now I just pray nothing else happens, this is just too much for me to handle at once. Thanks for reading, just needed to vent.

Hugs to you all!

Me too, I can't handle much more! Well, I guess I can or it wouldn't be given to me.

There always seems to be 'something' to put a damper on things, isn't there. Stay strong GF, I'm afraid sometimes our faith, and hope that things will get better, is all we have to cling to and it just doesn't seem enough.
Vent all you like, we understand and we are here for you.
I'm so glad to hear your Mum is going to be OK.
Hugs and love, Meg
PS. I hope you can enjoy a little humour as they say laughter is the best medicine. Hugs, Meg

PPS, Would you believe I missed the anniversary on September 1st, I'm three years down with two more to go, and we're BOTH still here!
I think we should be celebrating together!
What'll you have, Scotch? Vodka? Margherita? Pina Colada??

Congratulations Meganne! I'll keep fighting if you will! I'll take a whiskey sour please! Planning to have one tonight at my 40th class reunion but only one because of the Fentanyl patch and I will be taking 2 pain pills before we go in hopes the hip/leg doesn't hurt too bad.

Sometimes, Debra, life's challenges seem to all come in close proximity, and it is so easy to get overwhelmed with it all. Know that you and your family are in my prayers. Hugs to YOU!

Thank you, at times I get down but then I see someone who has worse problems and get my perspective back.

My heavens, cancer just doesn't seem to leave your family alone, does it! I'm glad your Dad was observant, and your Mom got treatment in time, and that she doesn't have really really bad problems from it. I certainly hope things look up for you from here on out. You can come here and lean on us anytime, but you know that. Big hugs for you, Marji

Let's hope it's finished. My 48 year old cousin's husband is dying of cancer, he only has a few months, she is devoted to him and it's going to be hard for her. After that, I don't want to hear anyone is sick!

Hopefully it was caught before any damage occured! I have always heard that when it rains, it pours and you and your family have had a steady flow of the rain. With prayers, I hope that all of you will be feeling much better and nothing else rares it ugly head! May our Lord give you the strength to get through all of this and all of this becomes dormant for many yrs to come. Prayers and many blessings, Linda

Thank you so much, the words and prayers from Cuties has gotten me through all this, it's going on 3 years now unless you go back to when my Dad had colon cancer, then it is 5 years but I'm happy to report that he is considered cancer free now and Mom didn't have anything permanent from the mini stroke so if we could just get me into remission it would be great! Don't know if that is possible with bone cancer.
