Question of the day: When buying embroidery thread, what color is the one that you have to purchase the most? And why?

Just like the ink in my printer, I tend to use the yellow to gold tones the most. I also find them the most facinating! my favorite color is still purple!!

White

white, but not for fsl as ive yet to master this lol

I use white and black the most. Whites foe FSL and black for features and outlining. Hugs Joyce

black I do a lot of gollywogs (ok in aus)

White for the FSL, Gold for the satin borders of doilies and eyeglass cases. Hugs, Lidia

I use heaps of Robison Anton Rose Pink 2293, for breast cancer FSL designs I make up for local fund raisers.
Other than that I use Madeira Red 1147; all three Madeira Whites: 1001, 1002 & 1003; Madeira Black 1000 and TH Green 2607 from Robison Anton.
I think I use more Rayon thread than Polyester so I have given the numbers for Rayon threads.

I use mostly RA. My favourite RA White is Aspin white. Hugs Joyce

I buy alot of white and around Christmas alot of red and green.

White, black, red and pink. Pink because my gd's love pink!!

White, red & purple

purple of course cause i LOVE IT :):)lol

good question - enjoying seeing the answers as I haven't done enough to have to replace specific colors as I was fortunate enough to be able to get all the metro threads and ordered an extra black and a white. thanks

I've got all the Metro threads too! Aren't they awesome? I think I'll never get through them all. Love Chris

Here is a tip for you.
Buy the colors of thread you use the most in large cones - 5000 yard cones.
It saves you money and you will have to purchase those colors less often.

White, because of the FSL

Black and White for me. Find it is used in many designs - FSL and otherwise.

White, it is found in a majority of the designs I use and I use it for FSL.
