You have received good advice. Just take a break for the time being. When you will feel better, mentally and physically, you will feel the urge to start rearranging your sewing room. Hugs, Lidia

Just think of all the lovely things you'll rediscover in those bags & boxes. Take it slowly & it will eventually fall into place for you. Hugs. Viv

Hi Berny, You have been through too much right now to tackle the room. My advice, from someone who can get overwhelmed is this. Close the door to that room and don't even worry about putting it back together for a couple of weeks. Let your body rest. When the time is right, it will feel right and you will have the energy to do it. But for now, it's okay to give yourself a break. I'm giving you permission to give yourself a break. Rest up - you need to rest more than you need your room put back together. Hugs, Jan

I recently had an overhaul in my room. My hubby made me wall units which meant everything out. I was in a mess for months. Just focus on one task a day one thing to tackle... Before you know it it is done. Just keep thinking how nice and organized it will be in the end... good luck! It is worth it.Suzanne

If you haven't started yet you could use a marker, draw your room borders on the graph paper. (each square is equal to one foot or meter); Make furniture cut-outs on graph paper. Place the biggest piece on the graft paper and start moving things around until it has good flow. I've done this for many rooms because my DH says he will only move the furniture once, so I have to get it right the first time. Then you can start moving back the boxed up items.

My heart goes out to you. Take a few deep breaths and hopefully you labeled those boxes so you can open the most important ones first. Good luck getting things sets up the way you want, and enjoy the end results!
Good Luck!

If that's all you have to face Berny, Cowgirl Up and get on with it. :-)))
A very dear friend of mine from the States says that all the time and her name just happens to be Berny. Bernadette Griffith to be precise and she has a website, BertinaStudio, (I'll add the link below) and one of her free designs is just that Cowgirl UP.
Now I think of that, every time I have to do something difficult and I hear her saying it, and it puts a smile on my face.
Sure makes it easier to start a new task when you're grinning from ear to ear. :-)))
Hugs n roses, Meganne

Berny I feel for you in your tragic losses. We have all been there and there is nothing one can do to make it any easier, I lost 12 friends & family, including my Mum & my best girlfriend of over 50 years and my second husband, all in one year, the toughest of my life. It helps to share your grief with others so they can support you.
You have my sincere sympathy, Meganne

You are so overwhelmed, poor thing. That has been a tough month for anyone to experience. Try going through just 1 box at a time. One box a day and think about the old treasures you will find that you have forgotten about.

You have it dear. Sometimes we feel that too much is too much. Just take time to settle down before you try to attack that room. Just close the door and chill out for a while. in the meantime you have my prayers. Hugs Joyce
