some advice please is there on dbc a basting pattern for 8 x 8 hoop and a 7 x 4 or could someone ofyou talented ladies digitize them forf med willing to pay for the service....soozie

Soozie what FORMAT designs do you need?.
If you email me I will send them to you as I have created basting stitches in most sizes and formats, but I only send them out when requested.

If you have a Husqvarna Viking machine, when in Embrodery mode, push the Fix button before starting embroidering your design and the machine will do it for you. Hugs, Lidia

In the Brother machine, you click the Frames icon and then click the shape of your hoop. Then click the stitch you want which would be the largest or basting stitch. The stitch-out goes around the shape of the hoop.
It's probably the same with the other machines.

Not sure what machine you have but on my Janome 1100 has inbuilt basting stitches in the machine.
