feeling so sad,my white swiss sheperd,has just passed away,no warning of illness,just collapsed and died within 10 min. vet did ortopsy,he had a cancerous tumor on his heart,he behaved fit and healthy this morning. so very sad,he was 10yrs old.

I had our beloved Bella euthanased on 4th May and I miss her so much, but time is a great healer.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

I am so sorry you have lost your furry boy so suddenly. I too, lost my dear Father and furry baby 14 months ago, one day apart, both suddenly and without warning. A huge big hole in my heart and life, but it does get easier as time goes by. I now have a 6 month puppy, she is the "eyes" to my blind furry boy, and she is an absolute joy to have around. Hugs

My heart is sad for you. Over the years,the deaths of my pets have given my heart sadness. Now I remember the joy and comfort they gave me and I have sweet memories of them. May your sadness turn into gentle memories for you.

As you can see, we all share in your sadness today. The unconditional love that our dear animal companions give us is like no other love. Try to find solice knowing he had not suffered. There is nothing anyone can say to make your day better other than to tell you it is ok to grieve as long as you need to. We understand.

Sorry to hear of your loss. You do have one blessing though it - he had cancer and you didn't know it and were able to enjoy him right to the end and obviously he didn't suffer. Just remember all the joy and laughter he has given you over the last 10 yrs.

I am so sorry to read of your little dog's passing.
I truly empathise with you as I lost one of my most beloved pets in a similar unexpected manner and I know I felt even worse because it happened so quickly there was nothing I could do but hold him as his life slipped away.

I'm so sorry for your loss of your 10 year old. Our pets are a part of the family, and we feel so sorry when they are gone.
We recently had our Bonita die, and our son surprised us with a new kitten later. That new kitten gives us lots of companionship, and she's a joy.
Hopefully, one day you will be able to accept a new pet into your life.
