Hello Cuties, I wanted to show you my grab bags of Sulky threads, that was just delivered. Aren't they gorgeous and no two alike. I ordered 4 sets (5 to a bag). I ordered the 850 yard spools for 5.99 a BAG, not per spool! All these, 20 spools with shipping totaled $28.96.

Thank you Parkermom for the heads up! Link to parkermoms original notification.

Sigh, Amazing how the computer takes over sometimes. I was trying to type: I have a hard time turning from a deal too. As my overflowing sewing room shows.

I have re-organized once more, but I know it won't last long....

Thank you for telling me.I am so happy they sent different colors and not any of the same color. These are shades I didn't have, so equally pleased about that. I do get their newsletters, but I usually check here more often, than my emails.

Last month I saw Sulkys thread sale ,checked there site for international postage price which was good even with conversion to Aussie dollars .I place my order with my address etc ,the postage came up as stated on their site.Next day I received a email from them ,with a higher postage price.I cancelled my order. Why didn't they have the correct international postage listed in the first place

Oh I know that was disappointing. I once told an overseas Cutie I would send her something. When I found out the cost of the shipping/postage it didn't make sense to send it. It was way more costly, than the item was worth. I have really felt bad about it, ever since.

babash- this is to show you I bought them all, but it wasn't but 11 FQS total with tax was $3.03. You are right, can't refuse a bargain like these!

babash by babash 27 Jan 2018

Oh they are beautiful. What a great find. Good on you.

What a great buy. I am particularly partial to variegated threads myself especially for fsl

I rarely use variegated thread, but I did on the Brother butterfly design, on one of my ITH bags the other day. The FSL sounds good too. Nora LOVES the purple stripe she said!

by pennifold 26 Jan 2018

Ooh! these are lovely Toogie, I love the purple and blue striped ones, such a lovely collection of colours. I'm like Barb, wish the international postage wasn't so expensive, I'm sure there would be many Australians who would love these. We pay exorbitant fees for threads! Love Chris

I know the cost of postage to mail overseas is way too expensive. It makes anything you want to send, not worth the cost.
This really was a great deal. The regular cost of Sulky this size WAS $8.99 each and that was a few years ago. I haven't priced it lately, so I jumped at this bargain. I was just hoping they sent different colors and they did. I spoke to the lady on the phone before I ordered and she was very nice.

by babash 26 Jan 2018

Now that is what I call a bargain. Pity the International Post is so high they would have more customers.

Toogie Did you see Marshall Fabrics are selling bolts of fabric for 1.50 a yard.

toogie by toogie 26 Jan 2018

I have not heard of Marshal Fabrics before, so no I didn't know. I went yesterday to Walmart to pick up a few more drawer bins and said to myself I cannot buy ANY fabric .... Well Christmas fat quarters were 25 cents. I bought all of them!

babash by babash 26 Jan 2018

Ha Ha we just can't refuse a bargain

toogie by toogie 27 Jan 2018

look up and see the fabric photo, I uploaded for you.
