Hi and thanks for reposting here and I can see that your getting answers to your questions. I'm in the UK and paid less for a PR650 that was my dealers demo machine. My dealer has quite a number of machines brought to him for service that have been bought on ebay as 'lightly used' but my dealer says clapped out is a better description. If you are wanting to spend such an amount on a machine go and get a good one. I have almost a 3 hour journey ONE way and the service that I have from my dealer is well worth the hassle of getting there and back. In the UK its possible to buy in instalments from dealers so is this a option where you are? Its possible for me to buy a new 670e for a few dollars more than your thinking of buying a secondhand machine. Have a look at the link I have posted as its was a similar question. Please do let us know what you decide and yes the 650 is a great machine especially when you want to have a run of the same stitch out. What machine do you have at the moment?

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to reply, I have a brother innovis 6200D it is a great machine but should be only used for household sewing, my husband suggested we get the brother PR650, the trouble is our brother dealer has up and left , much to local sewers disgust, they are sending up a guy to fix local machines around every three weeks, you can imagine the back log he is going to have and it means quite a while before you get your machine back. Going on the advice from everyone which I appreciate immensely I feel I will give the one on ebay a miss, I have seen others on the brother site but they are even dearer, one a demo model was nearly twelve thousand cheers Betty

I agree it sounds quite expensive for a used machine. Personally, I recommend going to a dealer and asking about a used or traded in machine. You will get lessons and tech support. I am also one who is leery about purchasing a used machine from EBay. Let us know what you decide.

You would have to do a lot of towels to recover that outlay.

Me personally would be very hesitant to purchase it from e-bay. What about support after? Before you purchase check on the prices of the current 6 needle versions. I agree with dradonflyer The price seems to high

Thank you crafter2243, probably should rethink the fact that it is on ebay, our brother shop here has closed down

That sounds like a lot for a used 6 needle machine...
