Oh, what a fun quilt! Looks great! Now, take a break and take care of yourself!
Thanks Debbie, it will be great to see it in his room when he is older. At the moment Cooper and Chases are on their bunks. Cohen will be able to lie and sit on his for a while till he goes into a big bed. I'm doing nothing in here at the hospital, so I'm taking a big break. Love Chris
Beautiful result. Specially under the condition you had to finish it. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks so much Angie, I'm glad it turned out as nice as it did. I'm looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, it's been a very long journey with regards to getting rid of the pain. Finally have been diagnosed correctly. Love Chris
This is wonderful, Chris!! Must have been tough to finish, not feeling well! Hope you get some good relief very soon!! Beautiful quilt!! Hugs, Laura*
Hi Laura, yes, it was tough with all that's been going on with my poor body. I didn't feel like doing the last pieces, but knew it had to be done before it got too hot here. Summer in Australia is so hot!!! I'm glad it's all done, I can tell you. Love Chris
Beautiful job on the quilt. I remember when you were looking for designs to do on it. Just as well it was before your back went out. Such a lot of work went into this.
Hi Barbara, yes, it didn't seem that long ago, but it's been a real labour of love and I'm so happy it's finally finished. Love Chris
What a beautiful quilt! Cohen is going to love it! I am still praying your pain goes away. I am amazed at what you have accomplished having such pain. Suzanna
Thanks Suzanna, thanks for the prayers, I appreciate them. I too am amazed that I even got this finished. His birthday is 16th February. Love Chris

Thanks Charlie, it certainly is. Love Chris
If I haven't welcomed you here, welcome from Newcastle, Australia.
WOW where are the words when ones need to describe such a wonderful work of love. So glad I read other comment abt enlarging pict. I thought it was all emb.. and not to take away from any emb .. but i do so love applique.. Congratulation . Thank you for sharing.
Thanks worthy, yes, when you click on any picture it becomes large and then you click again and it gets even larger. I hope Naomi (Cohen's Mum) loves the work I've done. I showed it to her before the quilting work was done and the binding finished. She should be really pleased. I do mostly applique these days, but also do ME and lace. Love Chris
I can see that you put a lot of thought into design selection and placement. It is a wonderful quilt!
Thanks for noticing that, I did take a while to organise the positioning of all the critters colours. Some of them were made on a really light blue fabric, then a bit darker, and finally the really dark ones in the corner fabric etc. Love Chris
Oh Chris I am so sorry that you are still in pain. Is there nothing else they can try for you? Cohen is going to love this quilt for always!
Hi Loralie, yes, I'm in hospital being pain monitored. It's great to finally have a diagnosis. I hope Cohen loves it as much as I loved making it. Love Chris
Your quilt turned out beautifully! It will be enjoyed for many years! I hope you start to feel better soon!
Thanks Roxanne, I hope it will be enjoyed for years to come too. I now have finished making quilts for the grand-children. I also hope I'm on the road to recovery. Love Chris

Precious. And each animal is a perfect selection. Don't know how you found them all that blend together and look like a set. This will be a true heirloom! Kay
Thanks Kay, I did a lot of searching for the little critters. Thankfully I found ones that went together well. Love Chris
Hope that shot kicks in soon. I had cortisone recently in my left shoulder and helped me tremendously-Can raise my arm now with no pain. Hope you don't mind but I did a close up of your quilt. It is fabulous. I just had to do close up of all those little critters. You've appliqued them perfectly. Your little guy will sure want to be cuddled up in it.
Thanks pea, yes, it is mostly appliqued and it's my favourite machine embroidery thing to do. I meant to tell the ladies to enlarge the picture when you click on it. I hope Cohen gets lots of use out of it. Love Chris
Nicely done...love all of the critters you were able to find...I have never sent a quilt of to be quilted by someone else...I am guessing it was quilted on a long arm...??? Nicely done as well...
Hi Kim, yes, it is done on a long arm quilting machine and I just love her work. I don't have the room in our little home for one of those and besides they are thousands of dollars. Thanks for the compliment. Love Chris
You have created a master piece. He will be delighted with it. Hugs Shirley

WOW!! That is beautiful. A real treasure for Cohen to have for years. Love the shades of blue you used. It makes the designs stand out. Lovely work. Hugs.
Thanks Lynn, I love blues too and was surprised when Naomi asked for them, as the previous ones for the other two boys were in greens. Love Chris
Adorable. The blue ties all the colors together. Great job. I understand how hard it is for you to rest but try... crossing my fingers that you get some relief and SOON! mk
Thanks so much, yes all the blues are always nice and neat together. I want to get better too, love Chris
Fab-u-lous! I hope your grands realize what a labor of love they have. I hope to be able to finish the rest of my grands quilts (still lack 2) next year when my baby girl goes to pre-K and I have more time.
Now stop aggravating your back and let it heal.
Thanks Jerrilyn, I have to do something. It's driving me mad. I do hope you get to finish yours soon too. I'm lying down as much as I can and standing too. Love Chris
It's a wonderful quilt and I'm sure, that Cohen will love it.
I hope you feel better soon.
Hugs, Angelika
It's magnificent, Chris. What a blessing to have made all those quilts for your dear ones. We had a lady in our little country church who drew the stories of her grandchildren's lives in pencil on muslin and then hand embroidered them. (Example, one child loved to go to the mailbox with here, so she drew the mailbox with the flowers of spring in bloom). They were a bit crude, but so much love.
How wonderful, and all hand done. I find it easier to do it by machine nowadays. Love Chris
the quilt came out beautiful.. a true labor of love... hope your feeling better soon
Absolutely adorable, Chris..........are you responding to the injections in your back at all?
Thanks Vicki, no it hasn't helped. I've been in tears every day since Tuesday, just getting worse. Love Chris
The animal blocks are so cute, Cohen will absolutely love this. You did a fabulous job. Sorry to hear you are still having pain after the latest needles. Hope that situation improves soon.
