Hi Cuties, I think I'm back for a little while. I have had to restore my designs from the original zips and it has taken awhile to organize and sort them again. Windows 10 has been behaving itself while doing this and for that I am grateful. Now to stitch. We are iced in so...there is no time like the present! :)

I also would like to know how windows 10 is doing for you, as I am on the list for 10, but have not downloaded it, as of yet. Also is it due to changing to windows 10 that you had to redo all your unzipping and organization? All my organization takes place by how I relabel each design and then save a picture file next to it when it is allowed by the site that the design came from and then labeling the picture file so it is posted next to the design file. So all my designs are in my downloads files, all under ED for embroidery designs, then their site name or abbreviation, then the sites code for that design, then my codes for whether the design is a font, RW -for red work, CW-color work, ITH, etc and then any limitations for the designs, according to the sites terms of service. Any input as to if this would be effected if I do switch to Windows 10 would greatly be appreciated. Pam

Hi Pam, Window is working peachy for me. My problem was from a different source. I had a back up drive that was ruined by lightening and husband was finally able to restore that. I keep my zips on another just for safety. I have a small portable hard drive that is able to travel with me, from upstairs to the downstairs where sewing machine is. This little drive when I picked it up the other day fell apart in my hands. Thus the only way I felt comfortable retrieving my designs was going back to the original zips. I have to give the man an extra Christmas gift as he worked very hard to help me get back up and running. We ended up purchasing a new little drive and the rest is just time consuming. Thanks for stopping by nice talking with you. :)

Why thank you, Miss Carolyn! It's lovely to see you also! You are as beautiful as always, little Mr. Peeko is looking swell also. Want to trade some snow for the ice we have? Love Windows 10, haven't had any problems with it. hugs

Thank you, me too. I was beginning to think I might have to start all over from the beginning on collecting designs.

Hi Leaha, glad to have you back. I love sorting through my files and reorganising designs etc. I do hope you are keeping warm and be careful of the ice. Very slippery!! Where do you live?

Love Chris

I don't mind sorting when it's not a necessity as this time was. I don't go out when ice is present. There is nothing I have lost anywhere that is that important. Warm and toasty. hugs Leaha

Thanks Miss Sandra. Yes, we get ice several times a year when El Nino is present, the warmer temps can't make up their minds. Makes for terrible bugs next summer. If I don't have plenty of food I can live off the fat of the land as husband says. As to a white Christmas...that's in Gods Hands,

I thought you were south of the equator for some reason. I am not looking forward to more cold myself. Have fun stitching!

Nope, I'm right smack dab in the middle of the USA...right down tornado alley and just enough south to get ice. :)
