Superbe cette petite robe, mise en valeur par la jolie petite fille qui la porte. Bravo et bonne semaine.
trés trés beau avec ce décolleté volanté amitiés de france
Absolutely gorgeous Chris, I love everything about it, you have done a great job, the little ones will look so cute.
When I was a high school (many yrs ago) our sewing teacher had us make something out of tulle, we used tissue paper when sewing the seams.... then tear the paper away once we sewed the seam, it worked well, I did the same when I sewed on chiffon when I made my wedding dress. Hugs Trish
Thanks Trish, I appreciate your comments. Clever you making your wedding dress. Love Chris
That is beautiful.. Thank you for sharing.
Kathy
very pretty, sometimes the practise one is better than real thing [in my experience!]
Hi Vicki, it's going to be a challenge that's for sure. Amy wants it in a creamy lace with some form of tulle underlay for a petticoat! I'm sure it will turn out beautifully. Love Chris P.S. Have never sewn with Tulle!!!
What a pretty little dress Chris!! You've done a great job of it.
I am a sucker for sashes, the bigger the bow the better. I do so love this Chris. Looks like so many my girls have had in past except with a higher back in them. How pretty it is/Lillian
Beautiful! My sister made Kate a dress as a practice run for a bridesmaid's dress. It was in cotton print and she wore it out. She only wore the bridesmaid's dress once so I think there might be a lesson to be learned there!
Yes, Sue I know what you mean. It's a pity but I don't think the girls will wear the flower-girl dresses that much. As you can see though the pattern will come in handy for some lovely cotton fabrics etc. Love Chris
Bonjour de France
Très jolie la petite robe bravo
Gisèle
Really beautiful - they will be gorgeous in the creamy lace :)
Your dress looks beautiful , love the back the most.
Chris the trial dress is gorgeous, the girls are going to look so grown up in cream lace. Can't wait to see the final finished dresses, i am sure they will be just superb. Sandra.
Thanks so much Sandra, I'm so glad you have such confidence in me! Love Chris
I love the back more than the front ! Am I nuts? Kay
Just saw this pattern at our sewing and craft expo in Puyallup WA and 2 versions of the dress. One like yours and one with a layer of 2 pale blue chiffon overskirts. A little girl's dream. You did great work
Thanks Deanna, I'd love to have seen that. I know once we make the flowergirl dresses we'll be having something to make it stand out. Love Chris
These are darling dresses and this pattern will look so different with the lace material. The hem treatment really brings your dresses up to a higher level, very beautiful and the girls will love wearing these special dresses.Glad you are doing a test run as time does move so quickly and those days just prior to the wedding are going to be hectic enough without worrying about fittings etc. April will be here before you know it. I hope that most of the wedding details can be done ahead of time, so that you can enjoy the time and help in the other last minute details that always seem to happen at weddings. Thank you for sharing these with us! The dresses are beautiful! Pam
Thanks Pam, you are right. I can't believe how fast this year has gone already. Love Chris
Chris, this dress is prettier than the dress on the pattern envelope! Delphi is right, of course, it is gorgeous! I had a pale pink one, with the back out like this, when I was a teen. Of course, it was a hand-me-down, and for once I didn't resent being the last child.-lol-I loved it. Made me feel special. I'm sure the dress for the wedding will be beautiful, too.
Thanks Toogie. I had a dress when I was young and I still can remember it. My Nanna made it for me, it was white voile fabric with little red flocking all over it. I wore it for a couple of years (under 10 years). Love Chris
This is just so sweet. Love the colours of the fabric and the hem treatment really adds to the finishing touches.
Thanks so much, yes, I like a bit of detail on little girl's dresses. Love Chris
Just love these - you are a wonderful seamstress!!
That is so pretty. You have done a wonderful job. Can't wait to see the lace ones.
What a sweet dress for each of the girls. They will be adorable in the wedding.
Very nice. They will look so lovely in the antique cream. Hugs
Tthis is sew beautiful, love material and pattern. They will be darling!
What a pretty dress. Its a pattern company that I havenot seen before so will look up as its so sweet. Look forwards to seeing the finished flower girl dresses when they are made
Just checked out the pattern company and its a USA company with beautiful dresses
Thanks Caroline, I just bought it from Maarten (my Husqvarna dealer) at our local Craft Show back in August Love Chris
Beautiful!! You have made such a pretty dress Chris :)
That fabric is lovely and the pattern is great too!
I am sure the girls would look gorgeous in the dresses you would make for them :)
Thanks so much Fatima. I can't wait to find some lovely fabric for the flowergirl dresses. We only have 5 months till the wedding and as you know time is moving so fast these days! Luckily this dress can be made in a day if needed! Love Chris
this dress is stunning and will be beautiful for the wedding... great job and what is the pattern you used.
Thanks so much Kathy - I've just added the pattern so you can see the design. We have to pay a lot for patterns here in Australia - as you can see this one was $17.80! Love Chris
OUCH! ! $17.80! I squirm and wait for sales or look on eBay if it gets even close to $10. I think we must be spoiled as the patterns here, do say the high price but they always have 50% off sales or even more off than even that. I am so sorry you have to pay those types of prices. ((Hugs of sympathy)) Pam
That is a very cute pattern for a flowergirl. They will be GORGEOUS in creamy colour.
