It's a good morning in my house, I hope it is in yours! My DH got my Brother SE270D fixed/ timed ! Yea😃 ... He opened it up again and took the belt off that moves your bottom shaft. We got the needle set where it needed to be, for the shuttle to pick up the thread. He turned the lower shaft with the belt off until the shuttle hook was where it would catch the top thread. The shuttle hook catches the top thread and pulls it across your bobbin case, picking up your bobbin thread in the process. I knew he could fix it!!! The 2nd photo is showing the Cutie how I leave my cassette threaded. When I change thread color, emb or sewing, I cut the thread crossing over the top of machine & tie the new thread on. Unthread your needle & pull it through. You will have to rethread your needle by hand, but small price to pay for using your machine. Like I said before 'Get that baby out of that shed.'- while I am singing my DH praises I'll tell you he made all my thread stands too!

I'm struggling with vertigo and fatigue. My schedule is too busy, but things could be much worse. And now I know why I'm looking old. Too little sleep. You look good to me. Happy stitching

Thank you Marian. I tell people when they ask how long we have been married, "47 years and we still don't know if it's gonna work out!" -lol

Thanks Sandra, I may have spoken too soon. Altho it is sewing, it is now making tiny stitches that won't adjust. I'm about ready to come to terms with it and retire it, go buy a new one. She must be trying to tell me to just 'let her go'.

Lol-What would he use them for, Laura? He won't get a cell because then he would have to learn how to use it- Lol- He is real handy to fix things, but don't give anything electronic.

Awesome!! Hubby deserves lots of kudos, or maybe even an extra special something home-baked. Glad he was able to get back up and running.

It's a stiff wire, like they use to use for clothesline, he had.
