The burlap is the right choice for the design. I like to look at hers.

Lovely design and great stitch out. I love that you have challenged us to try burlap. The fringe is great. I agree you should send a picture to Betty. Thanks for the tips about stabilizer. Becky
Thank you for sharing your lovely work as well as answering all my question (below) about stabilizing and amt of lint left in machine.. Both Great . many Thanks
This turned out beautiful--I had never seen burlap stitched on either until Mary's projects. Wonderful job. With 3 layers of tearaway it probably didn't make a big mess inside of machine I would think but could be wrong---I've not tried burlap yet!!!!
Hi Carolyn, I was back looking at this project again (I think it is gorgeous!) so I thought that I would comment again. Your colors are beautiful... and make me think of cool weather and all things fall. Thank you for all the posts that you do. I love to see your work. --Sharon
Thanks for your kind words*** i do love fall today i am off to the bush to dig some cedar trees as i killed some of mine by hair cutting them wayyyyy to much hugs
Really beautiful. I love the look of burlap too.
Great job.
check in the crafts stores , Walmart etc or on line for laminated burlap.
I'm so glad you stitched and posted this design! I've been wanting to get that design, but there are soooo many thread changes and so many stitches. You got a very nice stitchout Well done!
Wonderful work, the design is great and on the burlap with the fringe its quite unique.
This is gorgeous... Those pretty fall colors on the burlap are made for each other. I too love the fringe!--Sharon
Oh, Carolyn, you've out done yourself on this one! It is beautiful! Hugs*, Deb

Its is simply gorgeous. Love the fringe, makes it prefect.
Boy I not only like it I love it. This is so pretty.
Sorry I'm too late with this advice and wish I had known you were going to try the burlap. At our embroidery party Friday, they suggested that the first time you stitch on burlap, first pour yourself a glass of wine. (I'm a tee-totaler, but I had already decided I wasn't getting all that lint in my machine!)
Well i am a coffee lover Wine nope but i did it with only diet Pepsi to drink lol hugs
Very nice and Happy Fall to you too! Was that 3 layers of burlap? When finished you trimmed 2 layers and fringe the top burlap? Great job, hugs, Suzanna
noooooooooooo three layers of tear away then one layer of burlap and i also added wws to the top .ok???
This mat has turned out beautiful. Well done. Hugs Shirley
Super work! i love design and finitions but never thought to embroid on burlap. Thank you very much for sharing your work. Amitiés de France.
Your design looks good on
The burlap..I love to see what
You create!!
Thanks for showing, yup! going to get it! Beautiful!
Great design and I love the fringe detail, well done Carolyn. Love Chris
Wow - the colors really stand out on the burlap, and the pumpkin is very realistic. Tremendous job!
well done it turned out quite pretty! A good idea to add that many layers I would imagine your machine would need a good cleaning after stitching with burlap. all that lint. ~hugs~
I agree no different than many other things we tend to use. I have had some cotton leave more behind than the burlap.
This is gorgeous Caroline! Did it take long to stitch out? I have quite a bit of burlap in my stash but have yet to embroider on it. Was it a challenge or did it stitch out easily? A super job as usual!!
Hugs, Nadyne
very easy i put 3 layers underneath it and wws on top but this design took hour plus of sewing lol
