Peat moss should not smell to bad. I can empathize with the water, as my basement flooded earlier this year. Storms are terrifying!

Adventures are so wonderful, they make one appreciate the mundane. Hope the little pets are doing better and that your damage was minimal. Welcome Spring!
It must be frightening while its happening, as you don't know how bad it will get, before its over. I am glad it's over for you and hope your floors aren't ruined. Thankfully you are all safe now.
Scary to say the least! Glad you were not insured. Pam
we are insured & uninjured. The insurance company finalised Aprils claim last week with a life time guarantee on the roof repairs.
Scary stuff! I'm glad you didn't suffer injury and hopefully the furbabies have recovered.....until the next storm.
East coast low in April wasn't as intense as this was,no wind this time ,just rain
I am so glad you are OK. Nothing seems to be normal anymore.
Thank goodness no one was injured. Hope you are drying out now. Hugs
Hi Judy, we were very lucky. We didn't get any of it. I'm glad that you weren't injured and hope that everything has been cleaned up now.
Have a look at what Meg had to drive through. Love Chris
1. This was Meg's view from her car on her way home at 2.45pm this afternoon.
2. Cars at the bowling club at 11.30am. The Bowling club roof collapsed over both end lanes and the roof of the Coles Bay Village also collapsed and everyone was evacuated.
Thank You for sharing these photos, Hail that large could really cause massive damage. Hopefully people's windshields were not damaged or their cars dented from the impact, yikes, glad Meg was safe and that the storm missed you.
I've been in hail storms before, but never this much!!! Amazing. Glad everyone is alright, hope damages were minimal and that things soon get back to normal. This is springtime for you!
TOO busy to find the camera for photos .Thankfully the hail was small ,lemon seed size .The rain was amazing.Although we were in the garage ,I managed to get a very small hailstone in my mouth..
So long as you all are safe and dry that's the main thing, you husband can check for damage later. It totally missed us here in Sydney.
Lucky you .Aprils East Coast low damage repair on the roof held. The garage has dried out.
well, that was just a bit of bad timing wasn't it, almost getting home before the storm. I hope you are okay now. Adelaide in South Australia had a fierce storm last night with lots of hail....very out or season for such a severe hailstorm.
If we had left a little later we would have been caught out.
Hailstorms are usually are Christmas here.A few years ago I avoided one ,only to be caught in another one the next day at about the same time.It has taken years to live down the damage done to his 3mth old new car.It took over 3mths before it was repaired because of the number of damaged cars.
