I found this vinyl purse at the store and didn't notice the ink mark until I was at checkout. It rang up as $5 so I decided to keep it. I tried removing the stain with alcohol, hair spray, sunscreen, toothpaste, hand sanitizer gel, and Goo Gone to no avail. Any more thoughts or ideas? It came with a coin purse so maybe cut the coin purse up and patch it or make a pocket. I'm concerned about placement. It can be worn with or without the ends folded in.

Stain pen or ink Purge ink stains on the leatherette in passing: -a cotton soaked cleansing milk supplemented with a few drops of 70 ° alcohol or vinegar. Rub gently, renewing the dice that cotton will be dirty.
OR- A sponge impregnated with a bit of clay stone to which a few drops of white vinegar. Rub a long time and with circular movements, the ink-stained leatherette.
OR- Clean the stains with a cloth soaked in white spirit.
OR- Pass a cotton ball soaked with hair spray. Rinse the selected product with a cloth moistened with water.

Try WD-40. It may work!

Have you tried a creme cleanser ,the type that you would use to clean the bath? Use to clean marks off a cream vinyl over night bag ,years ago, this way.

Great bargain. If all else fails I am not sure what products you have over there but matching shoe or bag paint might be a good coverup and also be on hand should any future mishaps occur.

You probably already finished this, however I thought I would add my 2 cents worth. I was told and believe - do not use oils on vinyl they harden the material. Also the pocket can be anything - I like the clear vinyl with any fabric backing.

When my grand-daughter scribbled ink on her dolly I tried everything to get it off but the only thing I found that worked pretty good was OXY pimple cream. put a bit on the spot & leave out in the hot sun for a few hours & it faded considerably. Your spot looks much lighter then the ink on the dolls face so it would most likely only take one time to do it. Hope this helps ~hugs~

I have used non-acetone nail polish remover to get many things out. Including a 3 ft stripe of hot pink nail polish across my beige carpet.

TRY Hand Sanitizer, strange but it works on a lot of stains.

Cute purse. If you don't point it out, no one will notice the mark. That said, have you tried fingernail polish remover? Good luck.

Tea Tree Oil or Nail polisher remover have taken off a few pen stains from my vinyl purse....use a cotton bud with a little added pressure. All the best.

Actually I think I did try that too. But I don't remember so I'll try again.

Don't try the dollar store ones as they do nothing. Get the kitchen & bathroom Mr. Clean they work well on things. Or try the hand cleaner that guys use to remove grease after working on cars. I use it on some of his cloths to remove the grease.

Eucalyptus Oil should take the pen stain off. Good Luck.

I say cut the coin purse, embroider something pretty on it and add it as a pocket, use the second piece to add a second pocket and balancing the whole look. Could work and if not, you know that after a few uses, it will have other marks and it will look like a well used and loved handbag lol.

Something i would consider if i had bought this is, if there is a lining undo a small area where it won't be seen when stitching up the lining again. My suggestion is i would make a fsl maybe butterfly or something else you would like free standing, hand stitch on the out side over the mark. Or you could even hot glue some fsl item there over it to cover the damage. Hope that may help you out. GOOD LUCK . Sandra
