So nice that Avery is doing better. I bet she loves school too. It is a relief to you all she is doing better . Thank for the update
So nice to start the day with positive good news. I am so happy for you and your family. I hope everything continues to progress in such a positive light.
Oh! Toogie that is such brilliant news. I'm so thrilled for you and am happy that everything is falling into place. God has great plans for you and your family. You are such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others. I'm honoured to pray for you whenever you ask and I know you only ask when you really need them. May God continue to bless you all. Love Chris
Great news about Avery , and I wouldnt worry about your sewing room ,it get lots of use and gives you great joy
Aweeeeeeeeee so glad to hear Avery is doing so well. Growing and gaining weight. Go Avery!!!!
Now about that sewing room. I'll send you some pictures you'll see what utter chaos looks like. I tore out a wall. So you may have company when you die. l
lol-There is a wall between my sewing room and guest bedroom, I did suggest we take it out!-lol
Yeah for Avery!! Hope she will be at 40 lbs soon!
So happy for your NEW sewing area. We all need to take stock every few years! Moving it all around seems to help "find" what we bought at that Hancock sale last year!!!
Oh, I usually know what I have and most of the time, where it is-lol-I really need to get back USING it!
I hope Avery gains too, she would look better, even though it means heavier to lift her. Her little knees are so knobby.
Yeah for everything! A happy child and a new sewing room. I am afraid to say there would be competition for the greatest hoar... collector award. Lol! God Bless!
Isn't that the truth....my husband just needs to meet more like us, so I won't look so bad!-lol
Thank you Toogie for the great news on Avery. I can actually tell what a difference this has made to you. Your post sounds so happy. I am thrilled for you and your family, especially dear little Avery. Hugs Sarah
Nothing could make me happier, than our girl to be okay. I'm sorry to burden you all, but I was scared, and you are really very perceptive to recognize my fear. Cuties are such a support, and help lift me up, in times of need. I try always to be a happy person, and usually am good in a situation. This time with Avery made me feel like helplessly watching a drowning person, drown. She was producing more secretions/saliva than she could handle and I could suck out. Thank God, He stepped in and help me again that day. I guess you realized, when I ask for help, I really need it. I tell my husband and daughter, when I call you, that means COME RIGHT NOW, because I can handle most of the time. When I do call or ask, it's because I can't handle alone. Thank you for being there for me and my family. Wishing you a great day today and always-Toogie
So grateful that Avery is doing better, prayers truly answered yet again! Also grateful the M votes came through before the new font started! Now about your new sewing space- no need to feel guilty as you needed the additional space and sounds totally logical that the guest room was not needed for much time besides changing and the rare house guests, when you spend a GREAT deal of time, in your sewing area. If you are able to contain all your sewing supplies and fabrics into just one room and even needing a hall occasionally, then you are not even CLOSE to being a hoarder. My stash on the other hand, grew passed being contained in one room and a hall, long ago, though I still do not think I have achieved the title of hoarder, I hope not anyway. I will need to live a very long time to use up my stash and I have now added tens of thousands of embroidery designs to use on that stash! I think I may have crossed the line into, hoarding of embroidery designs, as I do not have the excuse of needing them all for running a business and just hope I will make use of even a fraction of them. At least I will have a wide range to choose from for every project I will ever create. Thankfully, the embroidery designs take up far less space, than my material stash. Wishing you many hours of creativity in your new sewing space. Hugs, Pam
I am thankful that He hears our prayers and our girl is doing well again. It is such a relief. Also glad to have gotten the M. I did go back & thank all of you for voting again. Just had to have it for one of my boys!
You are right about the emb files and all the pdf,etc not taking up space in the room, thank goodness, or we may all be spilling over-lol- This closet that I have my sewing room in now, is the closet with all the quilt fabric a family gave me- I do use out of it, but can't really see a difference yet-lol
Wonderful news about Avery.. You have a wonderful sister to find you the Baby Dry you needed, as for your new sewing room you definitely deserve it. I don't know if I will win the most fabric at the end of it but I probably win the most unfinished quilts... I have just finished number 15 for this year, and have already warned my girls they might have a lot of quilting to do.
15 QUILTS !!! You deserve a blue ribbon, at least! Wait until I tell my sister! This is the sister that I got into quilting, after she retired as a RN,ONC. She shops the fabric shops now anyway, and offered to pick me some up, if she found any....So you make the tops and your girls do the quilting? If so, is it quilted by hand or machine?
My daughter #2 Kristy is learning to Quilt by Machine, early days yet but improving each time. She already has her eye on a longarm quilting machine but my pocket book doesn't have that much yet..
That's great news about Avery <3
And, I don't think you will win, I will. But, for now, I have everything really organized. I have a tiny room with tons in it. I love plastic organizers, doesn't everyone!
Hugs, Toogie, I'm so glad Avery is doing better!
Thank you we are glad too! I know this brought back memories for you, that are always near the surface, I'm sure. I know I thought of Ben and you.She really has been doing so much better....I love plastic organizers too! I would be lost without them... And a great BIG HUG from Avery and me!
Good to hear this Toogie so maybe things will be better for you all. Really glad no more choking that is so scary,to the person choking and the ones around./Lillian
Yes, it was and is, scary..so glad she is okay again. I hope the aid your husband is getting, is starting to help you, too.
I love good news! I'm so glad Avery is now doing well. I hope she continues to gain a few pounds and her nutrition remains good. Whoohoo on your sister's find. that will come in handy. I love that you have a new sewing room that is better for your needs. You will never see a picture of my room because it is wall to wall and to the ceiling with 3 machines, a storage desk and 5 shelving units, plus hundreds of spools of thread and we won't talk about the closet. hehe Enjoy stitching.
Have you been peeking at mine? They sound just alike, closet and all!...Yes, Avery seems to be over this episode and hoping the next one is a long time away, or never. I just looked around. I have 4 machines. A serger, 1 emb,1 enb/sewing, and one sewing. Also a pc and printer. Also 36 plus drawers of fabric,5 large totes, 2 bookshelves....need I say more.-lol
Sounds like Avery has turned the corner, what wonderful answer to prayers. Imagine she is happy to be going back to school.
It also sounds like you are pretty well organized--have you seen that funny & true cartoon- I think sewmom first posted it- picture of lady surrounded by fabric and she says"I think I am aout one yard away from being featured on The Hoarders."
I say that the only reason now I have to go to the fabric store is for notions...I have fabric, but no fun buying batting, Baby dry, etc,
So glad to read that things are looking up. Toogie I am afraid a lot of us are hoarders. I have to admit - I am. You have lots of company.
Good I love company and this is the best kind-I don't have to cook for them!-lol
Back to school will hopefully be a booster for Avery! Change of scenery, other kids, new clothes....
Avery loves kids, so I'm sure her day went well. She was very alert on the drive home this afternoon.
Happy Avery is doing so much better! A new sewing room has to be exciting! Mine needs to be cleaned out - talk about looking like a hoarder!! It is always nice to have some extra room! Hugs, Laura*
Extra room I thought but it doesn't take long to fill it up. At least now I can reach my fabric and I don't have to move carts away to get to the drawer I want. It may not look too good to a non-sewer but someone like us understands my room.
Such good news about Avery...and what a wonderful find by your sister...you will have plenty of Baby Dry now! Sounds like your new sewing room is wonderful! I need to get into mine and clean it up!
Oh, it doesn't take me long to mess it up-lol-I am thrilled I can make at least 5 more pads, that way we will both have some changes, and have some left off the sides for some new school bibs!
Great news about Avery. Glad she's back to her old self. As far as the guest room goes, who says the guest need a lot of room and you do need a lot of room for all that you do and make.
That was exactly my reasoning. I thought how much time was spent in the bedroom verses the sewing room, and the sewing won out. I don't even go in that bedroom unless I have to change the girls. Thanks for the voting and request advice for the M, too.
Sounds like things are looking up! Great on the new sewing room. Enjoy.
I really hated to lose the space for the guest room. I now have a small sofa, that I crowded up in my bedroom, just because it won't fit in the 'new guest' room and I'm not sure what to do with it. I think I hate 'letting go' or change....I hope things keep improving for our girl! Thanks
