Forget about the project! You have the most precious model ever! Kay
She is beautiful but her sweet, warm expression, how she looks at you, it's what I love most. You are lucky, Toogie. The backpacks look great.
Hugs, Lidia
Thank you, I am truly grateful for my family. She will, most likely be, the last grandchild born to us. We don't want her spoiled but can't help but love her!
Hi Toogie these are great and the model is delightful....soozie
She is so cute and lovely. You are amazing.
My son-in-law is the amazing one! He turned my 'didn't know what to do with it' into a cute backpack for the little ones! Great idea he had!
Your little sweetie is absolutely adorable! OMGoodness. she makes that camo bag look fantastic! Of course, seeing her cute little face would have to make anything look great! You must be the best Grandmommie. Always thinking of super ways to make your kids happy and making them the absolute best stuff. I hope that your kids appreciate it. Too many kids without a Grandparent that would do so much for them. Bless you!
Thank you Nancy. She is most likely, our last grandchild to be born. We haven't started with the great-grandchildren, although our oldest g-son married last year. With ten, I do seem to stay busy!-lol
Very nice bags, Very sweet model. Thank you for sharing Happy Stitching ;~)
This is such a cute little backpack... wonderful save! And... you have the best cutie model!
Thank you and thanks to my SIL for the idea. She may be a 'Cutie Model' now, but I am hoping she will be a future Cutie. I do believe she loves fabrics like I do!
Your son inlaw had a brilliant idea, and yes Nora is very cute. Good save..
Looks good, not a disaster after all, great idea, waste not, want not, everything has it's uses!
Look at that sweet face! I'm guessing this "backpack" save is going home with Miss Nora.
Actually, she chose a pirate fabric (lol), but I don't know. I will make it and a pink girly print, then let her choose. I told her Papa, I don't know if she liked the blue background or the shark on the pirate print. She opens my drawers and picked out fabrics saying,"Nora's dress". I told my hubby she likes fabrics as much as me!!!!
Nora is so adorable, and a sweet little model. That is a great save, I love it.Your son-in-law had a great idea.
Thank you and yes he did have a great idea! I am making another one of his ideas-lol
Sweet! What a grand idea your great SIL came up with...and Nora...well she couldn't get any cuter!!!
Thanks Kim, it was a grand idea.I sent him these pics of his little model and thank him.
Aren't we lucky to have such sweet son-in-laws?? The backpack is perfect and so is little Nora - you must just want to hug her all the time!! Well done!
I do like to hug her,but right now she is SUPPOSE to be taking a nap..I need it more than she does-lol-Avery up and Nora down..maybe
Awesome Toogie :)....adorable Nora with a very cute boxie bag!
Well done execution with all the details of adding a belt to hold and those belts to hang....they seem to be adjustable as well :) love it!
Would you be sweet enough to share the size of cloth you started with and the size of the finished bag!
I don't mind telling you what I started with, but because it was a mistake in cutting, I really don't know. The FINISHED bag measures 12 3/4inch across the zipper edge and 12 inches from center top zipper to bottom seam. The top handle I added, finished at 8 1/2 inches. I sewed it in, when I boxed the corners at the top. The straps for the arms, I used the 45 inch width of fabric X 3inches, and after making I cut in half.I put about 3/4" cutaway in the center of straps. She tell you to make the tabs 2x3 but I cut mine 3x4, 4 being the finished length before folding in half. I just thought it would give you a little more, to grip, when opening....Now that I made this awesome mistake, I want to make her a girly bag, for her Tag, dol or Pj's...IF I can get this one away from her-lol
Thank you so much Toogie for explaining everything as well as that extra pic of the bag :) you are very kind!
I just posted my boxie pouch....which is a variation( by mistake) ;)
I am not sure which looks best, Nora or the backpack
Oh my goodness she is adorable! The bag looks good too!
