When I was teaching in the 70's , the school had Brother sewing machines which were always having problems.I quickly changed the name to Bother & personally never considered buying one since.
I'll go you one better. The local newspaper article, when I got married said that one of the groomsmen was X.X.X., "the bride's bother." I figured someone knew!
:-) Well, I can imagine. You are in trouble if you own a Bother machine -
