You procrastinate because you are not sure if you are really going to like it or not when it's done. I do things like that also Sarah, then one day I decid I'm going to get that done today once and for all. LOL I love it and you did a beautiful job. Lillian
Great Job! Now that you are familiar with the pattern if you love the fit of the blouse, you may want to cut another out of a different material, so you will have 2 gorgeous blouses, and no extra expense of another pattern or the fear of knowing just how to put it together. The second project always works up so much easier. Be proud that you have completed another UFO and I hope that your pride in this great project, will motivate you to not put off completing the next. Aren't you glad the fabric was one that never went out of style! Beautiful Blouse!
Thank you for your comment. I have actually made up the pattern a few times. Don't know what makes me so slow to get started.
I love all the shirts you make Sarah. They are all finished so professionally. Love Chris
Beautiful! Now, where you finished this UFO it makes - maybe - you more happy if you had done it immediately. Generally I think we all have same problems in this respect - start a project in summer and then suddenly it's winter and you are no more motivated but like to do christmas things...... Happy Easter to you and yours! Maria
Nice job! I suffer the same problem about finishing projects.Sometimes ,I think I don't finish projects because I know I only have a few minutes to work on something and by the time I get it out and start working on it , I will have to quit. You inspire me. I make work on some unfinished scarves. Kay
I am so pleased that I have inspired you Kay. Wish I could inspire myself more.
Alas, I think I have the same problem...I have a jacket cut out and just waiting to be put together...somehow, other projects keep getting in the way...lovely shirt, glad you finally got it done!
Yeah! Another UFO done. Love the fabric!
Thank you. The material was more expensive than I usually spend but it was worth every cent. Stitched beautifully
Its beautiful and its finished and that's all that matters. Sometimes I need to think about how I am going to make a garment and that 'thinking' process takes time. This is unique so be proud of it
When I think of when I was in my teens. I would cut out with no pattern and sew up straight away. If I could not make a garment in a day, I was no interested.
my sister in law used to say that for her the fun part of sewing was looking for the perfect pattern then finding some really pretty fabric and at that point it started to be work. for me I love cute and pretty buttons, I guess I'm saying I know what you mean it takes me so long to finish something and all the time there are project running in my mind, the good news is the blouse is beautiful hugs Toni lee
Same problem here Sarah, my get up and go, got up and went. :-)
Your shirt looks lovely and you should feel proud of yourself for getting it done.
It looks cool & comfy. The cutting & marking is always the dreaded part for me. Great job!
