This is a big change from your tea towels. Lovely stitch out. Is this on your new machine? Love to see it when it is done. Happy Stitching!!
Oh wow! This is soooo pretty! I too look forward to seeing yr completed quilt! Absolutely beautiful!
Gorgeous Carolyn! I look forward to seeing the photos of the completed quilt!
These are beautiful blocks and I can't wait to see how you finish this project up.
going to look just beautiful. Pennyhal has explained how to fit them together very well. Will await the result with anticipation!
Carolyn, Beauty at it's best, that what these are. I do love them, they look so elegant and will be a masterpiece when you are finished/Lillian
The close up photo is just beautiful!! What a perfect stitchout!
You first stitch two blocks together, just the top fabric together. Press seams.
Lay the blocks face down. Over lap the batting. Draw a line on the bat above the seam you stitched. The cut the bat, both layers at the same time. The bats should be butting up against each other and lay flat. Hand baste the edges together.
Then, (this is the hard part in my opinion) over lap the fabric on the back of the block by folding one side of the fabric under so you don't have a raw edge showing. Make the fold so that it is just above the seam that you have when you stitched the tops together. Hand stitch the the folded fabric over the top of the fabric with the raw edge to to finish the back side.
You basically do this over and over adding one block to another until you finish your rows. Then you put the rows together.
I see that you have a lot of extra fabric on the borders. I'd trim it down to about two inches to make it more manageable.
It wll be gorgeous when done! I can hardly wait for photos.
Thanks for your instructions ,that's kinda what i hope to do except i wanted to add some inbetween but i will do one.If i don't like it i will do just as you described again thank-you hugs
OH Carolyn this is going to be breath taking when put all together! WOW! ~hugs~

Beautiful squares. The feather fan is one of my favorites. Is that a ice blue or icy light purple thread color on the white? I love it.
