What a difference a new pair of glasses make. Collected my new ones this morning and suddenly the world looks a bit clearer. Unfortunately I am not a candidate for lazer and do not have cataracts. My far sight is perfect, just need glasses for close work.

I have just come back into the world of the hearing as I just got hearing aids, it's fantastic to hear the birds again let alone the TV. I was noticing the volume number was increasing and I was not able to understand some of the speech - now all is clear again.

So glad you can see again. I would not risk lazer the thought makes my stomach drop.

Nothing wrong with your near vision---it's just that your arms are too short!😀 I remember when I used that excuse to explain my 'cheaters'. But have now been wearing contact lenses for forever. I started with one in the weakest eye, but have evolved to a lens in each eye as my faraway vision has weakened.

I have had cataracts removed many yrs.. ago and up 'till lately been seeing pretty good, nights are my problem. Cannot see at night to drive anymore. Going to have to have a new Rx next mo. when I go for my annual check because I'm having a lot of trouble with blurred vision. My daughter has appt with the Eye Institute at UAB today. she had lasik surgery done on her eyes when it first became poplar. Now that she has cataracts they tell her she is going to have to have a special kind of surgery to remove them because of the Lasik surgery so our regular Ophthalmologist is sending her to the Eye Institute/Lillian

Congratulations Sarah. I'm like you I can't have laser treatment to have my vision corrected, but I do have laser treatment for my Glaucoma. Every year in June I have a Field Test and see the Opthalmologist. My father had Glaucoma and I believe it is hereditary. I know Dana is o.k. as she has had her eyes lasered. I don't know about Amy and Ben though. I only use glasses for reading and looking at the computer! Love Chris

Chris, I have to have my glasses hanging around my neck as I cannot see the price tags on items any more

Chris,
I have the laser for Glaucoma as I couldn't tolerate the drops. It is also much more convenient than having to carry a cooler bag with you whenever you travel inorder to keep the drops at the right temperature.
