Tolle Fotos aber man sehnt sich nach ein bisschen Wärme und Frühling
Just seeing your old post and pictures Carolyn-it is a brutally cold and snowy winter for sure. Just curious though-you are posting Fehrenheit temps.- that must be with wind chills right? So far, for our area-I think the lowest windchill we have had was -45F-that with the temp. being like -20F temperature readings. Spring can't come soon enough lol.
no it is the temp. wind chill is wayyyyyyy lower .last night it was -40f temp to cold for man nor beast hugs
BRRRRRR. Stay warm and avoid the frostbite-from my own experience many moons ago-that is no fun!
I can see why there are many Canadian visitors to the "Sunshine State". The snow is beautiful. Love the happy face! Can't help but smile.
Keep warm,
Cindy
well, there is a sewing expo in lakeland the 5-7 of march. great excuse to be down this way!
Love your pictures, Carolyn! Come on over to my house and warm up - it's going to be -21 today. Down right balmy compared to N. Ontario!
:-) Take care, my friend and stay warm! Hugs!
Oh, my goodness! And I was complaining earlier this morning that next week the highs will be in the 40's and 50's in my little spot in Georgia! Love the snowflake on the window and little Peeko ;-) Thanks for sharing your winter wonderland!
Great pictures. Love your sense of humour with the smiley face on the window. We live in a great country, don't we? My son was on an outdoor film shoot in Vancouver 2 weeks ago & had nothing but rain. This week he was in Toronto & spent 3 days & nights in frigid temperatures on another shoot. Says his feet are still thawing out.
lol well he better not come from Toronto up #11 highway or he will freeze for sure.hehehe
That is a lot of snow. 6 more weeks? is that what the ground hog said, looks like you will be in the snow for longer than that!
Nice walk with you Carolyn, I stayed very warm while I was observing all the snow. LOL Hugs for you and Mr. Peekco/Lillian
hi Carolyn, stunning pictures. Our Country Women's Branch is studying Canada this year. Think I might show your pictures if you don't mind. I just can't quite get my head around how cold it must be to create that 'drip' on your neighbours roof. cheers from South Aust.
How wonderful to have your very own snowflake.. I suppose if you don't have to live in it a winter wonderland it would seem, but if you do it's just snow. Come on Spring do your thing and give lots and lots of flowers.. Love to see you photos, thanks for sharing Marian
The photos are beautiful! Where do you live?? I would love to be in the snow at least for one winter, it would be so different for us! We have had it so hot here in tropical North Queensland, Australia, now it is raining which has cooled us down somewhat, but it is still very humid.
i live in Northern,Ontario Canada on a dead end road and nothing but bush around me and wild life .Watched a fox come up to the window last night and look at the cat lol(at my friend Carolines house)
Your photos reminded me of my brother (now deceased). He always angled his pictures as you have done. That would put my photo editing feature into overdrive trying to straighten them up LOL
The photos have cooled me down.Had a market stall today in a car park ,came home so HOT & sticky that it was extremely hard to get my clothes off ,so I could have a lovely cool show. The humidity is awful at the moment ,just sitting making patterns for dolls clothes ,your fingers start to drip even though there is a breeze.
Absolutely breathtaking photos, Carolyn. Everything about your area says it's a winter wonderland. I think you little Mr. Peeko is just showing off without his coat and boots on. lol Love the snow awning, can't imagine how it stays, unless it's frozen solid. Thanks so very much for sharing your snow, we haven't gotten any and it's almost too late in the season for us. Our grass is turning green and the trees are budding out. I just know we'll get a hard freeze when we aren't suppose to have it.
yes it is frozen !!!oh i wish for spring *** but then we get the bugs:(:(blackflies:(:(
Carolyn, I l♥ve the big smiley face! Glad you still have electricity and heat. Stay warm.
Do you hibernate for the winter? We are expecting some sleet and snow for next week and it will shut down Atlanta as we don't have the equipment to deal with it. Sleet and black ice are terrible! Do you get cabin fever? Kay
Mr. Peeko looks so tiny in that big white world.
Wow! Carolyn it is stunning! I never tire of seeing your pictures of the snow surrounding your home and your neighbours. At those temperatures I assume you do not go very far for a 25 minute walk. The snowflakes on the first and last pictures are so pretty. I've never seen once close up like this before. Thanks for sharing this winter wonderland with us. Love Chris
I love your natural snow awning...even though mother nature dumps on you, there are some pretty elements to it......Peek-o looks happy to be walking in the snow.....
Do you ever get summer there I think we have only ever seen the wintertime and snow in your home photos.
1 inch of snow in the UK and it comes to a stand still and schools are closed. its amazing how you all get around in three foot of the stuff. Keep warm my friend.
Amazing pictures it's wonderful to see how other cuties live and the differences in our everyday lives yet we all have have our friendship in common. Thanks for showing me a little of how you live day to day
Carolyn it is hard to believe the difference in temps from your place and mine. Yesterday was 41.6C (106.9F). Today will be a little cooler by a couple of degrees.
You'd love it in Adelaide, it's one of the prettiest cities in Australia. Only thing to remember is to keep out of the sun on really hot days through summer - but if you do go out make sure you put on lots of sunscreen. Most of us know not to go out between 10.00 and 4.00 - the sunburn you would get (if not wearing sunscreen) is not worth it. Us on the other hand up here in Newcastle and further north have dreadful humidity - which is WORSE! You just perspire constantly! Love Chris
Great pictures, but I would not like to have to live in those conditions. I don't mind the cold but not that cold. Hugs Shirley
The pictures are beautiful, but I admit, I do not miss that cold and snow. Mr. Peeko looks very happy to walking along his street. You must have wonderful neighbors too.
Great pictures, it sure looks cold. Hope your house is warm. Ii is 16F here feels like -2F with wind chill. We have about 6" to 8" of snow on the ground. Nothing like you have. BRRRRRRRRRR.
Ouch, I don't envy you at all. We have the first signs of spring here - snowdrops and crocuses. And mud (lots of it) I can't remember when I last went out without wellies on.
Brrrrrrrrrrrr....its 9 above on the other side of Canada. I do love to see pictures of snow as we get very little around here. Not like when I was little, (a couple of years ago....lol)
Great pictures, thanks for sharing...
I am cold just watching you walk in all of this snow! Love the smiley face lol really cheery! Is Peeko wearing a sweater? Bruiizer will not go outside without his lol & today with the windchill also -40 Brrrrrrrrr
no he cries when i put it on ,i think it picks him and i have tried 3 so i say FORGET IT!!!and we are both happy lol hugs
I know you are ready for spring. When does this all go away.
Amazing pictures Carolyn and thanks for sharing. I am glad that we don't get such low temperatures here in the UK
