Tip for turning small points : Get a straw and a chop stick. Push the chop stick into the straw that you have positioned at the tail or any tiny point to turn. Works great

Caroline informs me that Japanese are pointed and Chinese chopsticks are squared. Take your pick. Mine are of the Japanese persuasion. ;)
