My sewing machine is being repaired at the moment as the needle threader has broken. My Bernina shop has just phoned to ask if they can order a new part. The cost R95-00, just over 8 US dollars! I think I have a bargain there. Of course there will be labour charge on top but I am very happy. Just hope it will not take too long.

I need a threader and I still have good sight, at least according to the doc! Totally worth the time and $$$.

Must have a look at this machine -don't know why you cannot sew without a needle threader. I did so for over 20 years - my son kept playing with my machine when he was a toddler and breaking it. I gave up having it mended. It is mended now, But I keep forgetting to use it. My new machine has one, but I have only used it a couple of times in its life too. I thread by hand as the dealer showed me a great way to do it easily.

Hi Patricia, it is the actual needle threader. My eyes are not so good these days and it takes me ages to thread the needle without the threader.

My Bernina 730 is still working, but my 185 threader is on the blitz. Some times it works and some times it doesn't. I think that little piece that goes through the needle eye is the problem. It gets bent. I still love my Berninas!! I have a Babylock serger and the needle threader has not worked from day one! Kay

Oh no not another broken needle threader. I broke mine a couple of weeks ago. Luckily the dealer had one in stock and I got it fixed the same day. I can't live without my needle threader. lol. Shiley

And I hope it will not take too long to get the part in and replaced. Don't you just hate seeing that empty space in your room!

Unfortunately I do not have a room for my sewing, my machines are kept in a sewing cabinet but I will still miss it.

My needle threader continually breaks - very frustrating. So I know how you feel. That is a good price - I can't remember what mine costs but I know it's much more than what you are going to pay. Love Chris

Just hope they have not made a mistake. I have had the machine for eight years now and this is the first time something has gone wrong. Klaus tried to fix it but the plastic had worn.

Yes, that's what happens to mine, being made of plastic and the amount of sewing I do on it, well............... Love Chris
