111092Are you thinking of a hand embroidered house that is a sewing box? If so it could be one I know of. The author's name is Carolyn Pearce and the house is a box with a little shelf box inside it. The roof is the lid.
There is a book about it. Found it! https://wordery.com/home-sweet-ho... The instructions also include a thimble holder and a tape measure cover and some other little bits. I haven't made it, I did the box making course with Carolyn when she was writing the instructions. She has since written a book and taught it many times over and I still haven't finished my first box!!
Carolyn is a teacher at the NSW Embroiderers' Guild and she teaches elsewhere and at "Beating Around the Bush" in SA.
Carolyn does beautiful embroidery.

I am lucky to see her occasionally. But a lot of things that I do, I have to travel over 25 kilometres to go to. It is not 'far' once you arrive and start enjoying the activity.
Next week there will be ladies at our hand embroidery group from all over New South Wales, Australia as they will be attending the Summer School at the Guild and staying in the pub across the road. We love seeing them at our evening group meeting once a year.
