Well whatever you choose to make needs to be quick to produce. Good Luck to you one this one as time is not on your side as you appear to have a very busy life without the craft fair too
lol... sometimes I do come up for air-lol- I do have some things made but would like some little things. Sometimes these are the best sellers, as people may not want to spend much or maybe need little unexpected gifts.
Hi Toogie, I thought someone was missing lol we do miss you when your not around.. As for your booth I would suggest things that have a RW design as they stitch out the fastest, like on coasters, towel toppers, handtowels etc you know things that don't cost the earth to make and will do for stocking stuffers or the last minute gift .. good luck with it all.. Marian
I do have some of things you mentioned already made. And you are right about making things that don't cost the earth to make. People seem to not want to give you anything for your 'work' and hardly seem to reimburse you for your supplies.
Hi Toogie, I don't know it these suggestions will help, but her goes. Mug Rugs, Oven Mits, Pot Holders, Embroidered Tea Towels, Placemats, Simple Tote Bags or Purses, Pencil Cases, Toilet Roll Covers, Tissue Box Covers, Scrunchies (to tie back long hair) Simple pin cushions. I hope this has helped you out and all the best to you at the market. Regards Lorraine McNeill of Woodcroft South Australia
My show this week got cancelled, but I bought a long piece of glittery green fabric for my Christmas "tree" and had stitched out about 80 FSL Christmas tree ornaments. Don't forget the big snowman face we got from someone last year stitched on sweatshirts. I was trying to have a carft show that is easy on my back! (No tables, coat hangers, shirts, blankets, plastic containers...
That isn't much time...Hope you get great answers since i have never done a craft show...However i did make my mother a potholder with a rooster embroidered out...she loved that to hang on her wall....that was fast...used for deco mainly...she got many likes from others, so that ould be a possibility i think
I forgot about the potholders, glad you mentioned them. I bought some to do the pan handles with. Thanks
in Australia many people use 'wet-suit' holders which keep the cans of beer etc cold [and hands warm!]. Well I purchased Basketkase design, says "In Dog Beers, I've only had One!", then I made covers for the drink container. I embr. on cotton, then sewed a piece of stretchy fabric to it, so it could stretch over it. Had to make design small (not ideal), I think they would sell ok.
I do not have a clue, but 2 weeks is a bummer to stitch a bunch. Hope you get some good ideas. Kay
Thanks Kay. I have some things made already. Emb towels, hooded towel (just one though), coasters, Tp wraps, burp cloths, 1 taggie, wristlets, few purses and tote. I really need small things and pricing ideas, that's my hard part.
