So, Embird has a new update...that's good...but I have a question...when I try to use the update online in the Help Tab of Embird...I get a message that tells me I am not connected to the Internet...so it won't update on line...but I am connected to the internet...anyone know why I get this message? Thanks Cuties!

I did update the embird, but this new version, where are jumps, it does basting stitches instead. So I uninstall it and went back to the older version. I wonder if this happened only for me. Hugs, Yoriko

Yikes, that doesn't sound good...perhaps Martine can check out hers and let you know...

Mine doesn't do that.

I made a design today and the jumps remained jumps.

Thanks for your comments, Cuties...I did finally get my Embird Basic to update...I kept getting the message that I could not update through the Embird program because I was not connected to the internet...very strange, so I went to the Embird site, then I opened my Embird program, then clicked to update online...and it worked...don't know why, but it did...I like doing the updates using the online update option as you don't have to uninstall the old version..and you don't have to put in your passwords...it just updates and your done...much easier!

I have the installation code and the codes for the different modules on a USB stick / flash drive just in case and written down in a small notebook, that also holds all sorts of usernames and passwords. But it is nice when you don't have to type them all in again when upgrading.

I got a message to update when I started the program a couple of days ago and it worked like magic. It only added a couple of new files and updated a few others, no uninstalling and starting from scratch, it was so much faster this way.
No idea why you got that message, for me it worked fine.

Hmmm, I didn't get any message when I opened Embird that there was an update...Perhaps it is because I only have Basic?....not sure...wish I had though...

Sometimes, in my experience, I have to turn off the firewall in order to access a download. Hope you get it resolved.

I updated and did not see any difference. Have yet to see what the extras are - the Mmbird website has a list but I have not had time to experiment with the new features

I do not have the answer for you. The same thing happened to me yesterday. Then I downloaded the update from "secrets of" figuring if I run the exec file it would update. When it told me to uninstall the original I backed out because I wanted to jot down the registration numbers just in case and then for some reason the link for update on Embird worked.
Go figure

Your numbers will still be there. They are not stored in the program which you have to uninstall.
