Husband found the shed key which has been missing for about 6 months yesterday ,in a box of stuff in the shed.I took it off him immediately & hung it up on the key rack in the house before he could loose it again.

Now I can not find my prisma pencils, looked every where wasting hours,at least all dried up felt pens have been thrown out.

Every key , garden tool & other objects that can be lost outside at our place has a bright orange thin nylon rope attached to it.Any time I see orange rope in the garden ,I pull it to see if there is anything at the other end,the trouble with this idea ,husband has tied up plants with it & when they have died down he has left it there & not putting it in the bin

Oh my, I'm so glad this is contagious! I was thinking it was only me that did these kinds of silly things. I really think my house is haunted! lol

I lost my dongle to my machine and I thought I would have to buy another one. After 3 weeks I just happened to look at the key holder for our camper and guess what I found? Now I have large pretty ribbons on my dongle and USB drives. They are so much easier to see.

I keep mine in a pretty jar and each usb drive has a long piece of colourful ribbon on. If they are taken away from the room/house then they are tied to my handbag or laptop case

I lost the dongle to my 4D embroidery....thought I'd sit right down and CRY!!! Finally had to buy a whole new program. About a year later I found it in between a stack of glossy colored magazines. That taught me a lesson for sure. I watch that gizmo now like a mother hawk tending her nest. It was a very expensive lesson. Isn't amazing how inanimate objects can just hide on you...just to drive you crazy?!?

lost mine to for a few months then hubby found it in the car yes very costly little beast lol

I am very careful with mine after reading about peoples problems .Mine is still in its original plastic box which is kept in a tin with USB sticks in the desk draw.I only use it occasionally to make a large design consisting of small designs.

Funny how we absent minded put things down and forget where we put them. When they are found it is like a treasure. Then we put them where we will know where they are. Sometimes we forget that to. hehe Suzanne

Looking for lost items usually means an unintentional clean out

Pleased to hear we are not the only ones to lose things. I lost my letter box key sometime ago. Went into the post office to order another one and decided to tell the lady I needed to replace a lost one. She said just a moment and came back with my key attached to a key ring with a flower set in clear plastic. I was oh so pleased. Some kind person must have handed it in. I thought I must have left it in the key hole of the letter box or perhaps dropped it on my way back to the car. When I got home on close inspection the ring holding the key was squashed out of shape as if it had been run over, but the key and the flower part did not have any marks on them, Quite a mystery. Hubby lost his garden gloves on Sunday. We looked everywhere and could not find them. Yesterday when he went to dump a barrow of grass clippings on the heap guess what he found under some of the clippings he had dumped on Sunday, The missing glove of cause,

When I lose gardening items ,the first place I look for it, is where the garden rubbish has been put.

Haven't found my missing white fabric yet.It might have run off with yours.

Try moving house! It is amazing what turns up. I have found fabric (over 5 metres in two bundles) and brand new towels. All were stored in the bottom of big boxes or the back of cupboards. Try looking in silly places. Or pretend you are putting some fabric away in a safe place for later on. You will be surprised at what you find.

Glad the missing key was found. My hubby found our missing letterbox key today in the pocket of his jacket. Been missing a while now but at least we could get the mail out from the front.
