Just heard on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that it's 5th Annual Cat Week! O.K. to all you cat lovers out there, let's see some great pictures this week. Love Chris

Of course this is for Marji (marjialexa) and me, because we have or have had Shelties. I had 2 Kelly and our beloved Bella (died 3 years ago) but they have both crossed The Rainbow Bridge.

My black cat is the "boss" of the Sheltie Jamie as well! Thanks Chris, for this photo. My first photo is Jamie and Lucy, Christmas of 2005. Picture 2 is Ditto, sprawled on the arm of the recliner. Picture 3 is Jamie and Inky, photographed through the screen door, waiting to come in. Be sure to notice who comes in first! Jamie will always give way to Inky, hee hee hee. And Picture 4 is Lucy, on top of the cupboards when we moved into our new house, trying to figure out the ceiling light and capture it.

Please pray for Inky and Ditto, they have some illness the vet can't define. It's the same thing that took Dancer and SaraJane from me. If anyone knows of something that doesn't show up on any test, but results in cats failing slowly and then leaving, please let me know. It's NOT leukemia, kidney failure, liver failure, worms, anything that shows up on blood or fecal tests, and they've done a ton of them. They've had all shots, get good food, good care--my vets are stumped, and I can't afford to go to the big pet hospitals in Buffalo or Cornell NY. Thanks for your prayers. I think to lose them would be just about too much for me at this point. Hugs, Marji

Marji, Have you tried Homeopathy for your cat?? Homeopathy treats the symptoms, so you don't need a name for the problem.
My last three have all had problems and different remedies treat their different symptoms. Last lot of trouble was one throwing up in our bedroom (read safe, comforting place). I tried two remedies till finally one seems to have worked. Turned out to be hairballs! Which explains the messy part of the problem. This one had nearly died of kidney failure twice so hairballs is good.
Prayers for the little ones.

Happy Cat week and I think my cat talks too, I have heard the phrase "I don't know" and of course mama. It is amazing they understand us so well.

I have so many cat stories it would take up so much time to tell them... Ask Karen (02Kar) she listens to the all the time. She tells me I should write a book! But my own cat talks actual words... she has about 14 human words that she says. I get a wake up call each morning with her saying :Hello Maybe instead of Hello Baby so cute. You never have to guess what she wants she tells you... Like Go out, snack, food , water etc.... She always says Hello when she comes in from the enclosed porch. When you look at her when you at the top of the stiars and she is at the bottom of the stairs she looks at you and says What??? too funny... Suzanne

Great picture and I love the stories. When I was a teenager, our cat, Angie, was known to chase uninvited Shepard dogs out of the yard and they were flying to get away from her.

My cat ,KiKi jumped in bed with me at about 4 AM this morning and she wanted to be petted. Every time I stopped she would nudge for more attention. She rarely gets in bed with me any more and she has stayed out all night with her boy friend more than once. I hope he does not learn the doggie door trick!

My uncle's mama cat used to pin down the BOXER and clean him from stem to stern for fleas. If he tried to get up, mama cat just put her paw out to "hold" him in place. She had him cowed.

This picture reminded me so much of our beautiful black cat Bonnie how she used to put her paw out on Bella. So I know what you mean. Love Chris
