I found a cute carry all bag pattern, I thought it would make a great lunch bag. In order to add insulation to the bag I thought of quilting the liner in, then I'm no quilter so free motion quilting is not an option.

Does anyone know where I can find a simple star or swirl design not filled in and not satin stitched.

I wish to quilt the layers with a scattered design here and there. If that makes sense :)

this is the pattern I'm looking at making :)

You are so correct about using a redwork design. The problem with quilting in the liner is the holes it makes. That is where you lose your insulation properties. When I do heat or cold I quilt it to another layer of batting and before I close it I put in the insul-brite or other insulating material.

What about a redwork design? Maybe you have one of those that is suitable.

Does your sewing machine have some nice stitch that would work? I have used a simple tiny heart, a diamond and a swirl that way. Or sew straight or wavy lines.

Not really, but I do have an eyelet. I will look into it more closely. Thanks for the tip :)
