I have received several e-mails from "Brittany panettiere" with one topic stating I "have been added to secret embroidery designs." Since I don't have a Google Group account, I have ignored these e-mails. Does anyone have information to share about Google Groups or Brittany panettiere?

I also received similar e-mails and told my laptop to treat it as span and blocked all of them. That is for me the easiest way. Hugs

I receive heaps of emails reportedly from people wanting to improve my website. I treat them all as spam. I do not open them, they go straight to my junk mail folder and I delete them.

I've been added to 3 of these groups. I believe they are all from the same person using different names. You can click on the group and the first page will gave an option to leave the group. I think it's a pull down menu but I don't quite remember. If you don't unsubscribe you will probably get regular emails about free designs. If you're afraid to click on anything in the email (with viruses out there you should be scared) then use your iPad or iPhone to do it because most viruses are made for computers. Or you could go to Google groups on your own (instead of through the email) from the Google home page and then search for that group name so you can unsubscribe.

Thank you so much for this information S. I really needed to be reminded not to click on anything in an email! . Once you are on one, they fill your inbox. I unsubscribe several every week it seems.

One of a series of spammers. Ignore and get rid of.

I have been receiving these e-mails for some time now - I just send them to spam and delete them - I NEVER NEVER open them.

I have been getting them also; however, mine are from a different name. I have my settings on high ut they still seem to make it into my mailbox so I keep hitting report spam. I did get something from Google as to why I was reporting it.

Not personally, but we have heard from another Cutie with the same problem. There apparently is a spammer who has access to Yahoo database and now you are saying Google.
As always use care where you click, and what you click on and don't ever open any attachments that you are not expecting.
Thank you for the warning.

I have avoided Yahoo like the plague due to their (in)security issues.
